When you said, " I love you":
And in that moment the thunder had just come through but I still heard you as the rain poured down with all its dew.
And I know I didn't say it back but it was because of the fact that I was afraid that you would not understand, that I did love you back just not like that.
I couldn't spit it out like the claws of a cat
for my word was and is of constitutional law.
It's raw and it heals sores better than salt.
You see your love was of beautiful fragrancing bath bombs and mine was of healing crystals buried underneath the roots of 300 year old oak trees.
Still you failed to see
that you,
you could never love me.
