She slaps my thigh under the table so no one can catch a glimpse of it. But hell bruh, that's hard. Sa sobrang lakas halos hindi ko na maramdaman ang hita ko
"Okay mommy I'm not, but that's hard. Ang bigat talaga ng kamay mo" I argued with her.
"Dad, nahihiya na ako" he's talking to sir BBM while fixing himself to seat in front of us. Right in front of me, what theeee! Imagine he's in front of me. Just inches apart of me!
"Oh, she's here. Siya ba si Clyde, Mayor?"
"Yes. She is, Sandro"
"Oh, Hi Clyde!" I waved my hand slowly like a pabebe wave, and can't speak in disbelief.
"Your godmother mentioned earlier that it's your birthday. Happy birthday, Clyde. And I'm pleased to finally meet you" he's offering his hand, ready for interaction with mine.
I'm about to reach for his hand but I made a pause.
"Hala, wait kuya, I need to take a video of this. Hindi pwedeng, hindi."
I get my phone in my pocket, but a realization slaps me up that it's dead batt.
I feel horrible for a while but I still smile ear to ear to get his hand.
"Mommy, pahiram ng phone mo please maawa ka, minsan lang 'to" I'm pleasing mommy while still holding kuya Sandro's hand. Well, I don't want to release my grip.
"Oh, nanginginig pa si Clyde, oh" sir BBM is teasing me.
"Nagbablush pa nga sir eh," one of their colleagues said
"Kalma lang Clyde, nanlalamig ka pa, ako lang 'to" and I heard him chuckled
"Mommmyyyy ohhhh, ayaw ko na nahihiya na ako" tinabunan ko pa ang mukha ko nang isa kong kamay.
"Naku sir Bong, kung ako sa inyo 'wag n'yo pong inuumpisahan 'yang si Clyde sa pangungulit. Bumib'welo pa lang 'yan. Kapag 'yan mangulit, mas makulit pa 'yan sa daga."
"But I can behave naman mommy, diba?"
"Yeah...." proud pa aking ngumiti sa lahat "Seldom" and all of the personnel in the table burst a chuckle. Luh! May nakakatawa?
Mommy is about to get her phone for me but Kuya Sandro insisted
"Here, you can use my phone. Isisend ko nalang sayo mamaya" I was hesitant at first pero ang totoo lang n'yan eh kinikilig talaga esophagus ko
"Amina kuya, akala mo ha tatanggi ako. You insisted na nga choosy pa ba ako" I wink at him. Woyyyyy! Sumingkit bigla ang mata n'ya. Mainggit na kayo people, tinatamaan na sa charm ko itong si Ferdinand lll.
"Dali na kuya Sandro, take 2. Na-eenjoy ko na po ang paghawak sa kamay mo eh baka 'di ko na po isauli sayo" he chuckles
"Oo nga eh. Nagseselos na rin ang mga tao sa labas, ma-issue pa tayo" all of them laugh and started to eat. Kami rin kumain na after ng kahibangan ko na pa-video.
Everyone is busy chatting about almost random stuff. And here I am, hinahanda ang sarili.
"Excuse me, sir Bong. Can I ask a very serious question po?"
"Hahahaha. Yes, ano 'yon? Naku alam ko na 'yan, that was asked to me a long time ago when I visited a school in Ilocos"
"Wag mong sabihin na kakamustahin mo rin si Sandro eh nandyan na s'ya sa harapan mo" mommy butt in
