Deena and Sam dropped by the city's Educational Store for they had to complete their materials for the said project.
Deena led the way in as Sam followed. Sam felt uncomfortable for some reason and Deena noticed that instantly. Just the tight clutch of her sling bag sent all the signals.

"If you're not in the mood to shop for supplies, I can handle it," Deena said, gently moving Sam to the side by holding her mid-back.

Sam muttered something inaudible. "I'm fine. Who even told you that?"

Deena smirked. "I told you. I can read you like a novel. You know how dramatic novels are? That's exactly you."

"You know what? Fuck you." Sam rolled her eyes. "Let's just get this shit done."

"Okay." Deena shrugged.

35 minutes later, they walked out of the building and moved back to the car. Deena carefully placed all the supplies at the back, making sure they were stable. She opened the door for Sam before she got on the driver's seat.

"What are we doing here?" Sam asked when Deena did a turn directed towards a fast food chain.

"What do you think? Waste gas for nothing?" Deena shook her head as she sighed. "I'm getting you some snacks. We're gonna have a drive thru, don't worry. It'll be quick."

Sam kind of admired how thoughtful Deena was. But, she programmed her mind not to trust her. That it was all an act.

Their awkward and silent ride took 25 minutes to reach the location. Sam looked around the familiar property and it just gave her thought a confirmation.

"I knew it," she muttered after Deena entered the parking space of Johnson Condominium.
"Know what?" Deena drove the car to her reserved parking spot.

"That you're staying here." Sam scoffed. "The name itself is so obvious."

Deena hummed, positioning the car in a secure setting.

"Got it right, baby," she casually whispered.

Sam discreetly scowled. Deena walked out of the car first and opened the car for Sam even though the girl was supposed to do it herself.

"Thanks, but I didn't need that." Sam faked a smile.

"Nah. When you're with me, expect me to be manly." Deena winked and Sam rolled her eyes. "This way madame." She extended her right arm, pointing to the right where an elevator was stationed a few meters away.

6th Floor. Given that she held all the eco bags of art materials, added with: two boxes of pizzas and paper bags of chicken nuggets and cheese burgers, Deena couldn't grab the key card from her pocket. She thought of placing them down, but instead, she wanted to taunt Sam.
