Sam arrived at the Academy on her usual time. She walked in the glass door and instantly sensed the energy coming from everyone's stares. She was clueless. As she kept walking vigorously, Ziggy called for her from the right intersection of the corridor.
"Sam! Wait!"
"Yeah?" she replied with a smile. "How are you?"
Ziggy sighed. "Is this part of the game?" she asked while passing her phone with the photo flashed on.
As soon as Sam's eyes landed on it, she hitched a breath. "What the."
"Sam, answer me," Ziggy persisted. "What's going on? Is this part of the game? "Cause if it is, then you're doing a good job. You're taking it too seriously, huh." She giggled, but when she saw the fear in Sam's pupils, it subsided. "No way. This is real?"
"Shit, shit, shit," Deena muttered, hustling around the hallways. She ignored everyone looking at her, with the intent to look for Sam as soon as possible. Finally, she spotted her standing in the middle of the hallway. "Sam." She ran towards her and called for her attention. "Sam."
Frustrated, Sam slowly turned to face her. "Did you do this?" she asked quietly, her voice keeping its trembling tone.
Deena shook her head. "No, I didn't. I promise I didn—"
"You're lying." Sam tiredly suspired. "You're a liar."
"Sam, you have to believe me," Deena pleaded. "I did not."
"You, bitch." Ziggy attacked Deena with a push and slap on the left cheek. "Fuck off!"
"Zig, that's enough." Sam pulled Ziggy to wean them. "Enough, enough." Looking directly into Deena's eyes, she added, "Don't ever talk to me again... Come on, Zig."
"Sam." Deena tried to go near her, but Alice held her arm. "Sam!"
"Dude. Enough." Alice moved to stand in front of her. "What the fuck is happening here? Did she just slap you?"
With teary eyes, Deena replied, "Haven't you seen the photo?"
"I did," Alice replied sadly.
Deena could see how Alice wanted to ask her if she did it or not. Even her best friends were doubting. "I didn't do it," she said, prior to hearing the question. "Why do all of you think that I did it? Can't people change? I know I made a shitty mistake before, but it doesn't mean I'm gonna do it again."
"Jaydee, that's not like—"
"You know what? Just go off. I'm gonna fix this." Deena walked away. "Bullshit."
"Dude, where are you going?" Alice followed her. "Jade."
"Leave me alone!" Deena yelled. "Don't fucking follow me, Alice."
Alice then stopped walking behind, knowing that Deena means whatever she says when she's mad.
Deena walked rushing to Charmaine's classroom. She didn't know what class she was at, so she peaked by every window to look for her. After a couple of stops, she finally found her. She stood by the door frame with a firm glare. "Get out here, Maine. We gotta talk," she sternly said.
Charmaine rolled her eyes. "What for?"
"Get off your fucking chair!" Deena replied madly. "Don't make me walk in, Maine. Get out!"
"Jeez, girl. She mad," one girl teased, seated behind.
"Shut up," Charmaine spat, standing up. When she reached Deena's spot close enough, she felt her left arm being dragged with force. "Ow! Jaydee, what the f— Stop!"
