Zaras pov

3 hours, that's how long I have been waiting for someone to come get their little girl, I'm beginning to think this poor child doesn't have parents

"Sweetheart, did u run away?" I ask sweetly making sure I don't scare her off, I don't want her running off potentially getting kidnapped or something

"I didn't like her," she says shyly looking down at the table

"Who didn't u like sweety" I hesitated while asking, God I hope this poor girl doesn't go through what I did in any way, pls let this be a misunderstanding and this little girl got lost or something

"My nanny, she's mean she wouldn't let me go to the park and she doesn't let me eat anything unless it's green BLAH," she says with a funny little face

"Okay well what's your parent's names maybe I can find them somehow"

"I don't have a mommy, and daddies at work"

"Aww I'm sorry, ok well what's your daddy's name then"

"Enzyyy" she smiles a little bit

"Enzyyy...okay I'll assume that's a nickname to something" well I'm losing hope this little girl is way too small to know a phone number and Idk what to do I'm this close to just calling the cops

In the 3 hours I have been watching her while my employees man the bakery while I do little things here and there while looking after little Mia, that's her name and I have learned that she's 5 years old, LOVES chocolate, has a "meany nanny", dads always at work, she doesn't have a mom, LOVES Disney movies and she thinks I look like rapunzel since I have dirty blonde hair that's down to my tush

I'm losing my patience slowly, this girl is such a sweetheart, and someone's failing big time to look after her

Suddenly the bell rings and I look up to see 4 men that look like security or bodyguards of some kind, and a man who's very tall with almost black hair in a suit, lord have mercy this man is gorgeous...Aaah focus Zara! U have to find this kid's parent instead of ogling a man, a very hot man...NO! I need to pull myself together

Suddenly we lock eyes and geez is this man intimidating

"MIA HERE YOU ARE" he suddenly says loudly, in a very very hot deap voice NO ZARA! Yikes big no stop it this man's a father

"DADDY!!!" Mia screeches

"Why did u walk away from Mandy..." he says lowly

"I don't like her daddy she's mean and doesn't like me she said that I was a waste of space, " she says with tears running down her face

She suddenly turns to me climbs on my lap and clings onto me for dear life while crying on my shoulder, I run my fingers through her hair trying to calm her down

The father's eyes widen as he sees his daughter clinging onto me

"Well I already fired her turns out she didn't even know you were gone the whole time you were missing until the cook couldn't find you to eat, I'm so sorry sweetie, daddy will find a better nanny I promise one who cares about you so much, come on we need to go"

"NOOOO I wanna stay with princess ZARAAAA" she starts to sob as she talks

"Hey hey sweety I think you should go to your dad I'm sure he's been worried sick trying to find you, and you can always come back here and hang out with me and eat some treats alright," I say very softly while wiping her tears

"B-b-but I like you I don't wanna go" she stutters

"You can come back anytime okay I promise and you can have free treats"

"Really!" She says as her eyes light up

"Yes, actually stay here I wanna have a quick word with your dad okay?" I say

"Okay" she almost whispers
