Alex woke up to a peaceful Kira in her arms, she couldn't believe that she fell for her games again. "Hey?" Kira said, disrupting her thoughts. "Oh hey." Alex said standing up and walking towards the curtains, gently opening them and exposing herself to the light and surprised to see that it was raining. "Kira we need to talk." Alex said as she kept on starring out the window. Kira sat up and gently rubbed her eyes, she knew that she wasn't ready to be confronted about anything. "Why did you lie to me? No no scratch that, why do you keep on lying to me?" Alex questioned. "I am not lying to you, i actually do like you, Lex...I love you." Kira said. Those words pierced through Alex's chest and caused a sick feeling in her stomach. It didn't make sense as to how Kira was now so in love with Alex in a short space of time. Alex moved away from the window and sat next on the bed next to Kira. "I...i don't understand." Alex stuttered. Kira sighed out and looked at Alex.
"I moved here 3 weeks before schools opened, Kira started, "in that first week i met Jade who seemed to be the perfect and very understanding human. He then showed me around and confessed his love for me, i didn't feel the same way but i said yes to date him because i didn't wanna break his heart. The second week i went to visit my uncle(Principal) to talk about the school, he assured me that i will have the greatest friends, meaning you Lex. He talked about you, about how great you are academically, how you are so kind and would love to help me around. He made you sound like an angel and i thought he was exaggerating. When i saw you on the first day i was stunned, you were so hot and cute, so humble and had the prettiest smile. I couldn't help but fall in love with you but i couldn't tell you, no words were able to form and after you were cold towards me i started doubting myself. So when i received a text from you,4 days later, i thought this was the perfect opportunity to tell you but as soon as i got here it seemed easier to use my body then to waste your time with my words, as i wasn't sure that you will listen to me...I...I'm sorry." Kira said biting her lower lip to stop the tears from falling. Alex didn't know what to say.
She just looked at her and exhaled loudly. Alex pulled Kira for a hug and Kira sobbed gently. None of this made sense to Alex. Kira pulled away from Alex's arms and leaned for a kiss..."I see you haven't changed" a woman's voice storms in the room causing Alex and Kira to jump. "Oh what do we have here?" Elizabeth(Alex's mom) asked, "who's your new friend Lex?" Alex cleared her throat, and said "Mom, this is...Kira, Shakira. Kira this is...uh my mother." "Pleased to meet you ma'am." Kira said as she stood up. "Well mannered i see, better than that good for nothing best friend of yours." Elizabeth said crossing her arms. She never liked Kylie but it is only because her family is not rich. Alex rolled her eyes while Kira stood there in awkward silence. "Umm...i better get going, don't want to worry my mom, nice meeting you ma'am. Bye Lex." Kira said walking out.
"So how long are you here for?" Alex asks her as she moves away to the window. "Your father wants to talk to you, so drop the attitude and follow me" Elizabeth states as she opens the door and leaves. Alex sighs very loudly and goes downstairs to meet her father. "Good morning Father." Alex greets as she enters her father's study. Her father who was standing in front of her with his back turned against quickly turned and smiled, "well if it isn't my sweet child, how are you dear?" Rev. Patrick(Father) asks. "I am as well as to be expected Sir." Alex humbly responds. Alex had deep hatred for her father but had to always address him in the most polite manner and that made her sick.
