"I'm asking if you came alone" The doctor asked.

"Ah.. well" I'm so nervous. What do I say? Should I just tell her he's waiting for me outside or something? Why is she asking me that anyway.

I'm fidgeting my hands while trying to think what should I tell her. Should I just lie? I can't look at her.

"You know that we don't provide abortions here right?" Her tone seemed annoyed.

I stopped playing with my hands and looked at her "What?" Appalled by what she said.

"This clinic doesn't do abortions, so if that's what you're thinking, I'd suggest you go somewhere else." There is no hint of emotion in her words at all.

"You should make the decision quickly. " she added.

What is she saying? Is she for real?

"Any questions?" She wants to get over this quickly.

".."

"Well, if you don't, then I'll jus--"

"You know, you are incredibly rude" I cut her off.

She seemed taken aback "Excuse me. What?"

"I know that getting pregnant while unmarried is nothing to be proud of, but as a gynecologist, who is supposed to help bring new life to this world, you shouldn't bring up abortion so easily to a patient  that has come for a check up" I bitterly spat out.

She is a professional for god's sake. She should give encouraging words to her patient, unwed or not.

"Miss, you see here, I.." She wants to say more but I continued talking.

"This child inside of me. Even if I am not ready to welcome this baby with open arms, there is no need for you to speak of this new life like that" I glance at the ultrasound picture.

"Am I wrong?" I looked at her with disgust.

She coughed awkwardly. " I think you misunderstood. What I meant was.."

"Let's end this consultation. Thank you for your time Doctor" I didn't let her finish.

I got up and left her there. Luxurious clinic my ass.

The nerve! An abortion? How could she bring it up so casually like that to a pregnant woman?

She was rude and was so--

"MS LISA! Are you done now" I looked up and saw Se-Hyun in the waiting area with Chaeyoung, Jimin and him?!

Our eyes met and he smirked. I felt my hair stood up. Damn this guy.  Why is he still here?!

"Are you okay Lisa? What did the doctor say? " Chaeyoung asked. She looks nervous too.

"Is everything okay? No issues?" She added.

"Ms Lisa are you okay? I was waiting for you to come out." This time its Se-Hyun.

I get that they are both concerned for me. But now is not the time to discuss it. Not when he is here.

I took both Chae and Se-Hyun's hands. "Haha-ha. Why are you looking at me so seriously? There is absolutely nothing wrong with me." I laughed nervously.

"Re-really?" Chae was puzzled.

"Yes. I told you I could come by myself. You didn't really have to come all the way here for a UTERINE CANCER check up.." I glanced at Chae hoping she would get it.

"But you didn't come here for a uterine cancer che.." It was Jimin who didn't get what I was trying to do. I punch him the gut to stop him from saying anything else.

He deserved it. He's slow witted sometimes.

"Oh, so you came here for that" Se-Hyun said. Whew. She bought the excuse. I hope her Uncle does too.

"Yes and my loyal friends wanted to come with me. They follow me to simple health check ups and everything." I added. I can get out of this situation with Se-Hyun and her Uncle.

I smile brightly. "I'm so lucky to have such loyal fri--"

"MS. MIN LISA! DON'T FORGET YOUR BABY'S ULTRASOUND PICTURE" the nurse called out cheerfully.

This damn nurse.

Se-Hyun looked at me and I paled.

"Baby's ultrasound pictures?" After all the made up stories I made.  I can't look at Se-Hyun's face now.

Nothings going my way. I cried internally.

I glance up at her Uncle and I thought I saw his shocked face but now all I see is his intense gaze and still unreadable face.

Dear God, help me. How do I get out of this.
