Chapter 6: Nothing's Going My Way

I can't ignore him anymore. 

He stood up from his seat and approached us. His presence is dominating. I just can't seem to take my eyes off of him. 

"Ehem.." He coughed. 

I realized I was staring at him. Embarrassed, I averted my gaze somewhere else. 

"Se-Hyun, call the driver and tell him to send you back home first. I need to have a word with your homeroom teacher" He said in a calm but commanding tone. 

Se-Hyun looked at me worriedly. I smiled to let her know I am okay. 

She nodded at her Uncle and made her way out to make a call. 

I told Jimin and Chaeyoung to go ahead but they are too stubborn to listen.

"We'll wait for you, just give us a call." Jimin worriedly said. 

I smiled. "Thank you."

We are now in a café near by the clinic. Sitting awkwardly across each other. 

We were silent for a few minutes. This is nerve wrecking. 

Then he suddenly called the waiter and whispered something to him. The waiter returned with a glass of water and a cup of coffee. The waiter handed over the glass of water to me and the cup of coffee to him. 

I didn't realize I was thirsty. I drank most of the water. The waiter asked if I need anything else, I just bowed and dismiss the waiter. 

" Do you feel better now?" He started. 

What does he mean by that "I'm sorry?"

"You seemed anxious so I thought you might be worried about something." He calmly said while sipping his coffee.

 " I'm not nervous about anything" I told him sharply. 

"I see.." He's annoying me with this conversation. Like get to the point damn it. 

I sighed. I need to be calm and collected. I'm a mature woman.  Here goes nothing. 

" As Se-Hyun's Uncle, I know what you're worried about. I know there is no way to justify my act--" 

"Ms Min Lisa" He interrupted.

"Huh? Yes?" startled by the sudden intrusion. 

 "My name is Jeon Jungkook and not 'Se-Hyun's Uncle'" He added. 

"Ah, yes. I know. But is that important right now?" Irritation is evident on my face.

He smirked. "Of course, it is." 

Why is acting arrogant? It seems like he's mocking me.  Is he really the man I met that night? Am I remembering him right? 

I sighed heavily.  "Anyway, what I want to say is, I'd like you to keep my private life and my life as a teacher separate." 

I'm seriously worried how my image as a teacher will be affected by the situation I'm in right now. I'm upset by the turn of the events but I cannot dwell on it. I must solve this by all means. 

"No matter what my personal life is like, I always do my best to teach my students. I understand that you might take issue with me on ethnical standpoint, but that was just once in my entire life. I'll make sure to speak with Se-Hyun tomorrow." 

He's staring at me intently. I feel so self-conscious under his gaze. 

I still continued. "I also understand that you might worry I'll be a bad influence on the students, but I'd like to ask for your help in keeping this quiet so I can take care of this myself." 

I look at him and  waited. He hasn't said a word. 

Why am I being treated like I'm the only one at fault? Why does he get to act like everything is okay?  It's not entirely my fault, so why do I have to feel so miserable like this. 

I look at him. He has his hands up in his chin, contemplating.  His jaw looks sharp, his hands looks slender. And his lips looks so tempting. I look in his eyes and I can see them staring back at mine. I got caught staring again. 

Damn it Lisa, don't be a simp.

Annoyed. I stood up " If you don't have anything further to say, I'll be taking my leave." 

I don't have the energy to wait for his response. Too many things happened today. I'm too exhausted and embarrassed. I just want to runaway from this situation. 

I grabbed my bag ready to leave "Ms Lisa.." 

I stopped my track and look at him. His face should be illegal. 

I waited for what he has to say. 

 He's hesitating. But finally, he spoke.

"Is it my child?"
