Chapter Eleven

Casey's POV

I didn't stay at Zak's long. As soon as I finished that game with Aaron, I grabbed my stuff and said I had things to do, when in reality that was a lie. I just wanted out of there, I didn't want to stay there a moment longer cause I knew I would end up breaking down and that's not something I want to do.

"Your home early" says Zara as she walks into the apartment

"Yeah, didn't feel like staying too long" I say going back to my show

"What's wrong" she asks

"Nothing I'm fine" I say waving it off

"Bullshit" says Zara as she leaves her stuff in her room

"Honestly it's nothing" I say

"You do realise that I don't believe a word that comes out of your mouth" she says taking a seat opposite me

"Yeah I know but seriously I'm fine" I say

"Then why did I get a text from Zak, asking if I would check up on you" she's says

"I have no idea" I say

"Cas, what's really going on" asks Zara

"I like him okay, but he's my best friend and I'm just out of a relationship and quite frankly I don't want to get hurt again" I say playing with my hands

"Yeah and I get that but I know likes you too and I know he won't hurt you. You have both been friends for years" she says

"Yeah I know but what difference does that make" I say

"I don't know but maybe you should give it a try, tell him how you feel" she says

"I don't know maybe" I say going back to my TV show

Me and Zak's friendship means too much to me. I can't loose him, I can't turn round and tell him how I feel just for him to reject me, I just can't. If I lost him, I wouldn't know what to do.
