"I'm going to die" is the only thing Velez says in Palermo's arms just before she starts to spit blood. Palermo is so shocked when he sees the almost black, shiny red liquid spurt out of his girlfriend's mouth, that he begins to scream in despair.

"No! Help me!" he screams on the verge of collapse. in his adrenaline rush, he looks around and finds denver crying on the floor, lisbon standing in the corner as if she had seen a ghost and stockholm laughing loudly on the floor, only seconds after tokyo's death. Palermo sobs and decides to act alone, gets up from the floor and starts running lightly while Velez coughs and vomits. Velez passes out for a moment, not knowing what is happening or where she is. Palermo leaves the room and Denver watches them disappear, so he decides to swallow his pain from Tokyo's death and gets up from the floor to look after Stockholm.

"Velez is dying!" he says and shakes her vigorously while the blonde just laughs crazy. "Tokyo just died! What makes you laugh ?!" Denver says angrily. Stockholm finally seems to be responding.

"Tokyo is dead?" she asks. Denver grunts in pain and lets go of her so that she falls back to the ground.

"Lisbon!" Denver calls hoarsely, so that Raquel finally reacts and looks at him with eyes filled with tears and mouth half open. "Velez is dying!" he screams, runs out of the room and disappears. She too decides to put aside her grief about Tokyo and leaves the room to run after Denver.

Helsinki looks up at the ceiling from his bed because he doesn't feel like hearing the bad news after hearing the four explosions less than three minutes ago. But his calm and uncertainty are interrupted when, as if in slow motion, the door to the room is pushed open and Palermo enters with Velez in his arms. When he sees her lying covered in blood and her eyes rolled back, his entire breathing system seems to have stopped in sheer shock. Behind them he watches as Denver and Lisbon enter, while Palermo carefully lays Velez on the couch next to him and takes off her jumosuit. He watches as Denver and Lisbon help gather the equipment they need for the operation. When Palermo turns Velez on her side, her eyes meet Helsinki's, and he can't help but see her tear-filled green eyes, just before she closes them to cry.

"Hold on, my love," Palermo whispers to Velez, holding her hand while she cries and shakes her head. She feels the hands of Lisbon and Denver examine her wounds while keeping her eyes closed. "What's up?" she hears Palermo say and the silence in their response causes Velez to open her eyes and look at her.

"It's better to cut off her leg than try to get the bullet out," Lisbon announced.

"No" Velez says quietly, but nobody hears her.

"Why?" Palermo asks.

"Stun them, Denver" Lisbon orders. Denver agrees and puts the anesthetic in the syringe.

"No!" Velez yells this time.

"She doesn't want to," Palermo says. Lisbon looks sadly at Palermo.

"It is very..."

"She does not want to!"

"It's difficult to remove the bullet without cutting or injuring something. Sniper bullets are the size of my hand," she says, pointing to the palm of her hand. "If we do that, we run the risk that she will no longer be able to walk on that leg."

"No way," Velez says, turning on her back. "Kill me." Denver looks up at her words, startled. "Kill me. I'd rather be killed than have something cut off of me!"

"Velez ..." Palermo says close to tears again.

"No!" she says and doesn't let him have his say. "Besides, everything we do is for nothing if we are all going to die," she says, crying with pain. "So if I'm already dying, please, as long as there's still something left of me," she says pleadingly, in a low voice and eyes closed. Denver injected her the anesthetic without warning. Velez quickly turns to Palermo and grabs his upper arm. "When I wake up and don't have my leg anymore, I swear to God I'll take my rifle and shoot the whole magazine in my head," she says and Palermo cries. Velez then closes his eyes.

"We have to hurry," Lisbon says and at that moment Palermo points the pistol at her and the safety catch so that she stops and looks at him anxiously.

"We'll operate the bullet out of her leg," the Argentine orders.

"Don't hesitate, because we have to remove not only the leg, but also the bullet from her shoulder and arm. And she will die if we waste any more time!" Raquel shouts.

"We will also remove the bullet in her leg," he says again decisively. Lisbon is silent and finally nods to Palermo, who lowers his weapon.

"Let's hurry up," Denver says. He, Palermo and Lisbon operate Velez. Helsinki cries and decides to lie down on his bed and pray for her. From the first moment he noticed Tokyo's presence. But he doesn't want to hear the bad news. The operation takes about 28 minutes and is finally successfully completed. Palermo grabs the small container in which the three bullets are and shows it to Denver.

"Look," he says and Denver grabs the container. He takes a bullet and puts it in his hand. Both are the same size and his heart aches when he imagines that Velez had three in her and the pain she must have felt. Palermo sees what Denver is doing and crys heartbroken again. Denver hugs him without thinking.

"She is now out of danger," he reassures him when he hears Palermo crying on his shoulder. "Don't think about it anymore" he asks him quietly.

"We just have to wait for her to wake up," Lisbon says, caressing Palermo's back and joining the hug. When they finish the hug, Lisbon goes over to Helsinki and touches him, breaking his prayer. "Helsi" she says and he looks at her with hopeful eyes. "She made it." Helsinki is getting color again and is moved to tears. Lisbon smiles soulfully and walks over to Palermo, who keeps an eye on Velez. Raquel hugs him again and he returns her hug firmly and gratefully. Denver takes the hand of the deeply sleeping Velez and kisses it. Exactly at this moment Velez comes in through the door. Lisbon and Palermo interrupt the embrace and Raquel leaves the room, crying again as she remembers Tokyo. Denver ignores his wife and also leaves the room, desperate over the recent loss. Palermo looks at her disappointed, wipes the tears from his face and goes back to get the things he left behind in the other room. Stockholm watches them over their shoulder. She swallows her tears and goes to Velez. She didn't have to see her open wounds and is grateful for it, but at the same time feels guilty for not being there. Her bandages covering parts of her body and her sleeping face give her some rest back. She strokes Velez's cheek and kisses her. she sits up again and wipes away her tears. Finally she walks over to Helsinki and tries to smile at him.

"How are you doing?" she asks.

"Fine," he replies, nodding his head to calm her down. Stockholm smiles at him and decides to clean up the mess, but Helsinki stops her. "Stockholm ... who died?" She feels how her heart becomes heavy with the memory.
