"Oh okay, I gotta co-worker that got that too I think"
"Yeah Nevaeh? That's my girl"
"Oh, you her baby daddy? That's so cute and yall got matching skin. Yuh li'baby gon be cute"
A bit dumbfounded, Brandon replied "Nah, I'm just her boyfriend. She tell you she pregnant?"
Feeling nervous like she just said some ish she wasn't supposed to, the co-worker threw out her cigarette and abruptly ended their conversation. "Nah, but I gotta get back. Forgot uh.. I couldn't take a break today" she lied poorly and hurried into the restaurant.

Same day and location 2:09 pm CST
Zipping up her hoodie over her work shirt, Nevaeh waved goodbye to her coworkers and headed for the restaurant's door. Seeing him through the various windows, the 21 year old became very giddy as she finally met him outside. Happy to see him even though it was only just a couple hours since she last did, Nevaeh gave him a hug with both hands around his back. "I missed you" she confessed happily before looking up at him wearing a dull expression as he continued looking away. "What's wrong?"
"...nothing. You ready?" He asked, but excused himself away from the hug anyway to walk down to his car.
Following him into the parking spaces, she took the passenger side as usual and took her time getting in. Studying his body language as he joined her inside and quickly started the car, she couldn't help but feel tension for some reason. "You sure you good? You seem pissed about something"
"....I'm fine. Hope you don't mind going back to ya mom's though. I gotta take care of something"
Finding it odd that he suddenly did not want to take her back to his place, Nevaeh grew even more suspicion. "Yeh some wrong like is about yuh skool? Work?"
