Annika's POV continues:
Present time:

I kept my hand on his cheeks making him look towards me while he was busy remembering all the roller coaster ride of our life. This one year changed our lives totally.

Me: Do you miss them?

S: no I don't need to miss them.

Me: you don't need to hold your tears back

S: I'm not, I'm happy till you're with me. I don't need anybody when I know you'll never leave me in any situation.

Me: how can I? When I've taken vows to be by your side in every situation.

S: sorry I'm really sorry for ruining your life for those who never cared about me

Me: why you're saying sorry? It was never your fault. You know I'm happy that we got married..... you're the best thing that ever happened with me.

Shivaay didn't said anything he just gave a slight smile and pecked my hairline. I turned the next page of the album and my eyes fell on Shivaay and Omkara's photo,  then I remembered our conversation and how he told me what kind of family he have. Then the flashbacks again came.

Flashback:

Finally a week has been passed and the day when Oberois are going to come to see Mallika has arrived.

K: so where is Mallika?

B: she's getting ready

P: I'm so excited for my son's marriage

J: I'm also very excited for my daughter's marriage

P: who is she(pointing towards Annika)

An: she's my daughter Annika. She's a month younger than Mallika

P: acha Anita ji when is she marrying?

A: sorry Aunty but I won't marry so soon.

Ja: if you're a month younger than Mallika then you must be 24 right?

A: yes

Ja: then you should also marry soon. Jamini ji and Anita ji start looking for groom for her too

A: excuse me aunty, there are many things to do before marriage and I'm not gonna marry so fast and that's also arranged marriage no way. I will first find a job, a good partner then I'll think about marriage.

P: oh my mata this is just too much. Girls shouldn't work outside and after marriage never!

S: mom this is not a way to talk with a girl. It's her choice what she wants to do and please we are here for my marriage, it's Annika and her family who should think what to do in her life. Infact it's good that she wants to work.

A(in mind): Shivaay is just like the way I described to Malli. His family, I don't like much but if he will be there with her then she will be very happy

J: Pinky ji leave it na our Anu is different from others. Let's concentrate on Mallika's marriage.

An: and here our Mallika came.

Mallika came from her room with her bhabi Tanu. She sat in front of Shivaay. He was just lost in her beauty whereas Mallika was still lost in somewhere and Annika knew that she's thinking about Siddharth. Annika shook her shoulder and she came out of her trance.

P: Mallika can you cook?

M: yes aunty

J: how much you've studied?

M: I've studied till MBA

P: do you know how to do puja paath?

M: yes aunty I know

K: before marriage we need to clear that you're gonna be an Oberoi bahu so you shouldn't do job after marriage. It will affect on our family reputation. If that's okay with you then we are ready

M: I'm okay with it.

A(in mind): how could Malli just agree..... This family will not let her leave in peace..... I hope Shivaay take care of her and won't ever let her down.

K: okay then we are ready

B: rishta mubarak ho Kalyani ji

K: apko bhi Singhania sahab.

Everybody congratulated each other and there I saw our bride and groom who were busy talking with each other. At one side it's Shivaay who is open minded and another side his orthodox family I don't know how will she gonna survive there. My trance was broken by the voice of Shivaay's brother Omkara.

O: I know what you're thinking. You're actually worrying about your sister isn't it?

A: seeing your family I should worry

O: you don't need to because I know Shivaay is too strong to take stand for the right over wrong. He loves Mallika and till he's with her nobody can do anything to her

A: I hope so. Btw who's younger? You or Shivaay?

O: just like you're a month younger than Mallika I'm also a month younger than Shivaay

A: why didn't you get married till now then?

O: in our family the older one should marry first and I'm just making my own money to get a new house

A: new house why?

O: actually I've a girlfriend, Gauri.... About whom I never told anyone.....you are seeing how my family is.....if they get to know about her then they will pressurise me after Shivaay's marriage to get married. And I don't want Gauri to stay here...... I'm an artist and most of the time I need to go to different parts to the country so I cannot leave her alone in house..... I'm sure they will humiliate her..??you know she also wants to work after marriage but these people won't let her do

A: will you be able to leave your family for your wife?

O: huh.... I don't care what relation I share with whom but I care about who is right and who is wrong. And in this case Gauri is right..... I can't leave her and also can't let her live with them alone.

A: it's very good to hear that atleast you brothers are not like your family. Didn't you guys ever tried to change them?

O: we've tried a lot but all went in vain.

H: so the marriage will be after 6 days. It's a small time but I think we should go further.

Sh: Mr.Singhania why don't we do the engagement tomorrow and other functions will be done too

Ma: good idea. Then let's do the roka now and engagement tomorrow.

The Oberoi and Singhania clan agreed. They did the roka of Shivaay and Mallika. Everyone was very happy but it seems like Mallika was the only one who seems to be lost somewhere.
