A/N: OMG hi! :)

Sorry for but updating her over a week! It's been so hard to find time to write! After this chapter there is only one more chapter/epilogue. But, fear not! There will be a sequel to this book! :)

Okay enough about me. ENJOY!

Jamie's P.O.V

I knock once. No answer.

I knock twice. Still no answer.

I knock three times. Nothing. Nada. Zilch

My hands start getting sweaty, as my brain starts thinking of the worst possible reasons to why the girls weren't answering the door.

"Lottie?! Ellie?! I'm coming in," I say. Still no answer, so I push my shoulder against the door and use all of my force to open it.

Snap.

Oops. The hinges have come clean off the doorframe.

I sigh. Whatever, I have better things to do. I throw the door aside and stop.

Woah.

Ellie and Lottie's room has been trashed. There are pillows on the floor, broken glass littered all over the place and books lying on the carpet. And in the middle of all this mess, sits Ellie with her head between her knees. Her shoulders are shaking and I can hear weird wailing noises.

"Ellie?" I say, cautiously. Was she laughing or crying? I was never good with girl's emotions.

Ellie lifts her head up and her eyes are full of hope. But her eyes suddenly fill with tears when she sees me.

"That makes me feel good," I joke. "No girl has ever started crying at the sight of me."

"Oh n..no," Ellie chokes out. "Its.. L.Lottie."

I gulp. What could have happened to Lottie to make Ellie cry?

"She's...she's been kidnapped." Ellie says, refusing to meet my eyes.

A second passes.

"This is a joke right?" I say. I wait for Lottie to jump out and shout "Gotta!" but nothing happens. "Right?" I say, more desperately.

Ellie shakes her head.

My shoulders slump.

"But...but the worst thing was the...tha...that," Ellie says, fresh tears jerking out of her eyes. She nods to the wall next to Lottie's bed and I nearly gasp from shock.

There on the wall is a faint (but still very noticeable) blood mark.

I let out a series of curse words.

"No. She has to be here somewhere. Come on Ellie, let's go and look for her. Now!" I say, running out the door.

We spend the rest of the day, searching the school from top to bottom. We ask every teacher we come across and all of our friends if they've seen Lottie. Strangely, we haven't come across Anastacia or Edmund. By the end of the day, Ellie and I are exhausted. We rest in my dorm room, as Ellie's room no longer has a door and there is a blood stain on the wall. I pray that the blood is not Lottie's.

'Jamie?" Ellie asks, as she puts down her Coke. "What if Lottie is actually...kidnapped?"

I look Ellie straight in the eye. "Then I'll do everything and anything I can to get her back."
