(A/N, you are 20 with black hair and subtle red highlights. Your hair is about mid-thigh length, and can be styled however you'd like. Your outfit is boots, any length you want, and some pants. The shirt is something close to Vi's with a hood on it as well. You have dark circles under your eyes from the amount of work you put into the band, and because of the lack of sleep. Other stuff too, but you'll find that out later. Have fun reading, and enjoy!)
YOUR POV..
I stood on the stage of the bar, tuning the electric guitar to make sure it was perfect. I've learned that making it slightly off-tune added a nice effect to the song, so it was my little trick to do if the crowd at the bar was the right one. If it was a quieter crowd at the bar, I would set it to be perfectly tuned. Now, if it was a loud crowd, like usual.. I would set it slightly off tune.
I looked around the bar, thinking of what it used to be like. Ever since Vander, the Hound of the Underground, had died it has been a gathering place for people who wanted to bathe themselves in shimmer. Shimmer was a new type of steroid drug that Silco introduced once he started running things. Anyway, the bar used to be a good place, it had some rowdy people but overall it was a nice place. It smelt of alcohol and smoke in here. It wasn't pleasant, especially being a guitarist and singer in here.
"Hey, are we starting or no?.. You've been looking around for the past three minutes, Ev." I heard Ollie whisper from behind me. He was the drum guy, but I just gave him a quick nod in respond, placing my fingers perfectly on the guitar. I see the lights slightly dim around the bar and people slowly facing up here. I put out a smile with a look that could kill. At least that's how the customers described it to me.
The music started, and I immediately emerged myself into it, forgetting about people watching me. The music flowed into my ears, and my fingers moved across the guitar strings like a leaf in the wind which is funny because our band name is Tempest. It stands for 'a violent windy storm'. Every now and then the person singing would switch to me. The vocalist liked doing it when I would be the one singing in the background. It used to come as a surprise, but I slowly got used to it.
The song started coming to a stop, but that was the hardest part about this song. The end had the most singing and guitar in it. It was hard to keep up, but it only got worse when the vocalist switched the singing to me. I didn't wanna mess this up since the bar liked us so much. I didn't wanna disappoint them, especially not Sevika. God knows what she would say to me if I did. I tried my best to keep up with singing and playing the guitar at the same time as I heard the music fade out. It finally ended. Thank. God.
That was our last song of the night. I set the guitar down in the stand. I heard clapping all throughout the place, people smiling and putting their drinks in the air for us. I let out a sigh of relief and smiled to everyone, noticing a girl with short pinkish-red hair staring at me. She had a tattoo of the roman number 6 on her cheek. Cool. I hop off the stage, and walk over to her.
"Hey." She said to me. Her voice was gorgeous. I wonder what it sounded like singing..
"Hi, Six." I said, calling her the number of her tattoo. I looked at the bartender, held up a two, and pointed to me and Six with my thumb. He nodded in response and starting making the drinks. "I saw you looking at me."
"Oh..? I was hoping you'd notice." She said with a slight smirk on her face. I laughed in response, the sudden tiredness I got taking over me. My eyes were droopy, and my posture was terrible. Eugh. In front of a hot woman too..? Why right now... "You look terrible."
"That's nice, how flattering of you to say." I reply, sending her a sarcastic smile and laugh. The bartender places our drinks down, and I hand one to Six. "Here you go, Six." I say, and reach into my pocket. I pull out a small pill shaped compartment. I break it in half and pour it into my drink, the nice peachy color turning into a magenta.
"What's that.. flavoring..?" She says and I just laugh. How does this girl not know what this is..?
"No. It's shimmer." I say, looking at her. Her eyes widen, showing concern and anger at once. Did she have a problem..? If so, she can leave. "What..?" I say, tired.
"Why would you- shimmer? Really? Do you know what that does to people-" She says, but I cut her off.
"I do. And I don't care. They don't cause problems for me, so I ignore it. I used to try and help.. until I got recruited into a stupid band.. but.. The show must go on, right?" I say, sending her a wink. She doesn't find it amusing. I let out a large sigh. "If you have a problem, Six.. you can leave. No one is forcing you to sit here with me." I say, holding my glass up to her and waiting for her to clink it with hers. She rolls her eyes, still a bit pissed looking, and clinks the glass with hers. I let out a laugh before taking a sip of my drink, already starting to feel more energetic.
"I don't know why you would do that to yourself.. It might ruin that pretty face of yours. And.. hearing how you talk, I'd say your face is the only thing you got going for you." She says, taking a sip of her drink.
"Oh, like you are any better. The second thing you said to me was, 'You look terrible.' " I say, deepening my voice to mock hers. I see her smirking, and she finishes her drink quickly, about to start up another conversation with me. "Whoops, gotta go." I say, blowing her a dramatic kiss. As if.. I never could miss someone like her. A stuck up prick.
