As I stood in the wings with West, I couldn't help but see on the other side of the stage, Riley and Alfie were stood talking about something
"Everything good there?" West asked tapping my shoulder, I hummed in response before turning to him
"Yeah everything is good" I replied making him nod
"I can't believe we are here you know" West said with a smile
"We've had some killer performances, I knew we would win this things" I chuckled
"I think a lot of it had something to do with you man" West offered making me look at him confused
"you can bet your ass Riley would not have done that solo if you weren't here and I hate to think who our duet would have been" West started
"Sadly you can't take any credit for Eldon. He's always been a disguised power house" He laughed making me laugh
"Next up we have The Next Step!" The spokesperson said making West and I do our usual handshake before taking the stage with Giselle, Riley and Alfie
It safe to say, that went without a hitch! We added a lift where Alfie was holding both Giselle and Riley, as much as it put all 5 of us on edge. I think it's safe to say it gave us that little extra edge that could be the difference between going home and making it to the semi's

We walked back to the dressing room to see the rest of the team in there smiling widely, Tomorrow is Semi Final day as well as the Finals. But for tonight? Tonight we chill. We have some quality time
"Not so fast you guys" Miss Kate said stopping us
"What?" West asked
"Both Eldon and Riley have been nominated for Mr and Miss National soloist, same with Riley and James' duet and hopefully the small group" Miss Kat said smiling making me look towards Riley who had a sincere smile on her face
"That's incredible" Michelle said hugging Riley. I know for a fact that Riley is probably feeling a little guilty, Michelle is known for being Miss National Soloist and now this year. She didn't get the chance to defend her title
"You all need to go into the wings and wait for it to be called I'm afraid, there is no escape just yet" Miss Kate chuckled
"but the rest of us will be in the crowd watching" Miss Kate said pointing us in the right direction before leaving
"this is insane" i heard Riley say to Eldon
"Hey Riles, it's like this most Nationals but you don't tend to get out of your little shell now do you" He teased making her scoff before nudging him
"It's not a bad thing but this year you've made some real development and it's clearly showing" he said smiling at her before we all came to a holt
"Now what?" Alfie laugh
"now we wait to be called" Eldon said
It was clear he had been in this situation before
"Alright lets have our top 3 male Soloists. Eldon, Jake and Tobias" the spokesperson called making Eldon nod walking on stage followed by three other boys
I turned to look at Riley who was biting her nails again, I quickly took her hand giving it an extra squeeze
"What are you stressing for now" I chuckled making her roll her eyes
"Shush" She said only making me chuckle
"In third place we have Jake!" The spokesperson called making the crowd clap
"Now our overall Mr National Soloist goes to!" She started
"Eldon from The Next Step!" She said smiling in Eldon direction making the crowd go wild
Eldon briefly looked over at before heading to get his trophy
After a couple more minutes, it was Riley's turn
"And now our top 3 female solos. Jennifer, Abigail and Riley" The spokesperson called. I could see Riley's breathing speeding up
"you've got this" I whispered in her ear making her nod before watching her slowly make her way on stage
"She's going to be destroyed if she doesn't win" Eldon warned me, I looked at him with a smile
"good thing she's going to win then isn't it" I said making him chuckle
"In third place we have.... Abigail" The spokesperson called
I glanced over at Riley watching her fiddle with her hands the nerves were clearly kicking her ass
"and our overall Miss National Soloist is.... Riley from The Next Step!" She sung making Riley's eyes widen before going over and then running off stage
