I squinted at the window I see a blurry figure, Hutaos face was stuck on the glass
"Y/n!" Her shouts are muffled.
I crawl off Xiao's lap and unlock the car door.
"Hey guys" I yawn "What time is it?"
"It's 8-" Zhongli starts to speak
"It's beach time!" Hutao cuts him off, he smacks her around the head playfully
"Ow! That hurt" She whined
I crawl back in the car and to gently wake Xiao
"Oi mate wake up" "We need to go" I shake him violently, he grunts at me while I drag him out the car.
"Where are we going Y/n?" He rubs his eyes.
"Beach" I simply answer.

We set up some chairs Zhongli was carrying, a cooler box full of different types of alcohol and of course a campfire.

Hutao came walking down from locking the car. We carried our own chairs. I was stuck between Xiao and Hutao while Zhongli was sitting next to hutao. "Remember I'm still her friends" Hutao growls at Xiao
"Yeah but she likes me more" Xiao smirks
"Oh really short stack?! Let's see about that huh!!" Hutao shouts jumping from her seat while up pulling up her sleeves
"Who wants a drink!" Zhongli says loudly, making Hutao get back in her seat. He opens the cooler lid revealing alcohol
"Y/n regular?" He questioned staring at me,
"Yeah pass me the beer" I say, catching a beer. Zhongli goes around asking everyone. We all take a swig of our beers. Everyone is suddenly talking about which is better, uno or monopoly.
"Uno is better end of story" Hutao rolls her eyes
"Are you thick?! It's obviously Monopoly!" Xiao contradicts.
"What are you talking about! Uno is like 100x better!" Hutao is on the verge of throwing a fit
"I like to take down my opponents." Xiao admits, my god , when they bicker it's the funniest thing ever.
While I try to contain my laughter I hear familiar voices behind me, I turn around to see Venti and Lumine, my childhood best friends. Before I can even process my thought I stand up looking at them, Once I have eye contact with Lumine she nudges Venti. We all stare at each other for a bit.
"What's wrong Y/n?" Xiao looks a bit confused,
"For fuck sakes not pip squeak again." Hutao growls.
Before I can answer any of them, I run up to Lumine and Venti jumping on top of them, all of us crashing on to the sand.
"Hey Y/n good to see you" Venti laughs helping us up.
I was overjoyed to see Lumine but Venti We have some bad blood.

I walked them over to where I sat.
"Guys this is Lumine and Venti, they are quiet old friends be nice please" I say smiling,
"Sorry we only have four chairs you're gonna have to sit on the floor" I apologise. We all started chatting and laughing together.
"Oh y/n. Try this, it's good!" Venti hands me a vape.
"Venti I don't vape anymore" i laugh,
"You vaped when you were a child?! I'm not judging, I just didn't know. Kinda offended you never told me" Hutao shouts.
"No no I did when I was 13-15 not anymore though and I'm 19 now and when you meet someone you generally don't tell them you vaped." I smile.
"Oh come onY/n just this once it's good" He smirks,
"Actually Venti Y/n isn't vaping anymore so maybe not?" lumine gives me a terrified look, he's my best friend so I take a few hits, by a few I mean at least 12.
"Ew what is that shit" I threw the device back at him.
"It's weed. You used to do it all the time?" He smirks, he knew what he was doing. Everyone's faces dropped except Venti's.
"I never did weed. I may have done pot once, never weed" I can't help but feel stupid.
"Zhongli, how addictive is that shit?" I ask,
"You won't get addicted to it since you've only had it once but there's a high possibility you will get high." Zhonglis voice is calming.

Xiao takes my arm as Lumine moves closer to me, while Zhongli and Hutao handle Venti. I'm not afraid of getting high. I've gotten high many times before, It's more of the fact that this is a great way to start things with Xiao. I sat down on Xiao's lap. I hold him tight, afraid of what might happen after, Hutao hands me a bottle of water since Zhongli told her to take a break. Xiao rests his head on mine comforting me, I take a swig of my water as my eyelids feel heavy I lean my head on his chest.
A few minutes passed, Venti and Lumine were next to me even though Xiao hated it but the weed had really kicked in. I started to talk a lot more just blabbering out anything that comes to mind and hallucinating.
"Hey Zhongli I'm gonna take Y/n for a walk" Xiao says, I feel his voice vibrate. "You stay," Xiao says to Venti and Lumine. As he takes my hand and pulls me up the hill while Hutao and Zhongli apologise for Xiao's behaviour. I don't understand why they apologised, after all it is Venti's fault?
We got to the concrete cliff and I almost slipped and died a few times but Xiao got me to stay in the concert space. I pull out my phone and put on some music
"This one is soooooo good" I giggle, everything is moving and colourful, with little flying things everywhere. "Yeah it is," Xiao smiles, leaning his head on my shoulder. We sit and listen to the music for a moment, I allow my music to actually enter my brain. Taking every lyric and understanding it like I never did before.

I didn't notice my body turn towards Xiao until he looked me dead in the eyes. I also don't notice how close we are until I can feel his warm breath on my face.
"Hey Xiao?"

"yeah Y/n?" He asks, glancing, down and then back up at my eyes.

I don't wanna slow dance-

In the dark,dark.

Xiao had already made up his mind, before I could finish my sentence. His lips meet mine in a soft press. I feel the back of my neck burn.

Xiao pulls away, I notice how red his face is. I take a deep breath in, grabbing the back of his neck and bringing his lips to mine again. It's slower this time as we move our lips in sync.

The song comes to an end. I hear a crumple of plastic near the bottom of the hill. I pulled away from Xiao gently, turning my head to look at the boy standing at the base of the hill.
"You forgot your water-" Venti chokes out. Setting down gently at the bottom of the hill and sprinting back as fast as he could back to the fire in the distance.
"Fuck." Xiao groans, pulling his limbs away from mine, since they got tangled up in the moment. He presses another quick kiss against my lips before pulling me on his back. He takes me down the hill as quickly as possible without falling, and begins running after Venti. When we reach the fire again, he sets me down in the sand, and I immediately kneel over, gagging and spitting onto the sand from all the movement. The world around me started to spin as I wretched, and i feel A soft hand on my back. I looked up to the Hutao and lumine holding my hair back for me as I threw up into the sand.
"She won't remember anything of tonight" Hutao says in a sad toone and Lumine quietly agrees. The last thing I hear before I pass out is a car peeling out of the lot, and someone angrily throwing a bottle against the fire with a loud
"Shit!"
