Moving on from the darkness [2021 ver.]

4) A canoe ride

Guess what? More MangoSorbet (Mango x Sorbet Shark) in this chapter! :)
ALSO TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE DAY?!?! I know I know I was just so excited to continue this story (this is the longest Chapter yet too!), anyways I hope you enjoy reading!

"Ok are you all ready to explore the islands now?" Mango asked them all

"Well anything's better then staying in this same damn place all day..." Crepe complained since they just wanted to do something that didn't involve staying still, Crepe always had to be doing something or they would become bored and annoyed easily

The rest of the group all agreed too so Mango started walking them all to his homemade mango canoe

"This is my canoe! I made it all by myself, also just before you get in just a friendly reminder that the tides can become rather violent at times so hold on tight just in case!" Crepe didn't like the sound of where this was going

"Ugh not a canoe..." Crepe thought to themself, they knew that they were going to have to get into one at some point but they still couldn't help but be slightly angered. Sorbet Shark on the other hand was extremely excited they loved that they were able to go on a canoe ride with all of their friends

"0oO0oO0oO!!!" the shark bubbled pointing at an island in the distance

"Oh that island over there? That's the Archipelago where I live!" Mango explained. "Should I take you there first?" Sorbet didn't respond since they were too busy staring into Mango's eyes daydreaming about him which made Mango slightly concerned since they thought something was wrong

"Um hello there Sorbet? Are you alright?" he said worrying quite a bit about the shark, Sorbet eventually stopped daydreaming, reasurred him that they were fine and said that they just didn't have much sleep last night (which was obviously a lie) which Peppermint translated for them.

"Oh that's understandable... Hopefully you have a goods night sleep tonight." Mango started moving the canoe slowly to the cookies destination and Sorbet immediately started daydreaming about him again

"What an interesting cookie he is! His hair is so shiny and I bet it's super soft!" Sorbet's face went slightly red and they instantly went to looking at the ocean which looked extremely clean "Mango must have been working very hard on these islands for who knows how long... I can't help but be extremely fascinated by him." Sorbet Shark put their hand into the water admiring the beautiful sea that was below them

"I want to know more about him! I want to know what his hobbies are! I want to know what exactly what to gift him whenever there's a special occasion!" Sorbet continued to stare at the ocean then they turned themself around to look at Peppermint who was clinging onto their conch hoping that they don't drop it by accident.

"Oh Sorbet, you seem rather relaxed..." the sailor mentioned, they always seem to notice little changes in Sorbet's behavior immediately

"O0oO0oO0oO oO0oO0oO..." they muttered, they were so relaxed that even their bubbling had become much more quieter than usual

"Oh yeah you're totally right, Mango's canoe rides are my favourite too." Peppermint stated, Peppermint has always loved the sea even from when they were a toddler, they have heard many stories about it growing up and they enjoy telling them to Sorbet.

"Sorry the question hasn't come up yet but who are you exactly?" Snow Sugar asked pointing to Peppermint who was now hugging the shark

"Oh me? I'm Peppermint a sail- well I mean... I don't know if I can exactly call myself a sailor yet but oh well..." Snow Sugar and Crepe had both never met a sailor before speaking of which Crepe didn't even know what they were but they didn't question it since they were too busy sulking.
