My eyes flutter open and a cold air hits my face. I bury myself in the jacket I'm wearing and close my eyes tight.

"Finally. You're awake," the voice startles me awake and everything that just happened rushes back. I turn and I can't believe whose car I am in.

"You-"

Jaxton hands me a water bottle, one hand on the steering wheel as he drives. "Here. Drink this. You're dehydrated. Do you need to go to the hospital?"

"No," I whisper. "Thanks."

He nods, but doesn't say anything else. I chug on the water and finish it all, closing the top. Biting my lip, I look at him, then back at my hands, then back at him.

"And thank you. For, saving me," I instantly remember that my dress was pulled down when those guys came after me, but I was covered, a shirt over my dress. "Something way worse could've happened."

Slowly, tears pricked my eyes. It could have been way worse if it wasn't for Jaxton. I break down, by sobs escaping me. I could have been raped. I could be dead. Who knows what else could have happened if he didn't show up.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up. I didn't even notice that he had parked the car, but I look at him, and I feel safe. He pulls me into his chest and holds me as I continue crying. He just sits there, cradling me.

"It's okay bunny. You're safe now. Everything's gonna be okay," he whispers to me as he rubs my back.

Then, all the things that had happened that night come rushing back. How is everything going to be okay? My boyfriend, my EX-boyfriend, cheated on me and there is no way I can go back to my house now. I was just assaulted. Everything is a mess. I am humiliated. How is everything going to be okay?

"No it's not Jax. It's really not. I can't go home. You were at the party, you saw what happened. I have nowhere to go. I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do," I clutch onto his shirt, scared to lose contact. I hated this man, but right now, he is making me feel safer than I have ever felt. "How did you find me anyway?"

"You were alone. You left without a jacket, half an hour away from your house. How the hell did you expect to find your way home?" he shakes his head. "I had to make sure you were safe."

"Why do you even care?" I pull away from him, even though it's the last thing I want to do. "You literally hate me."

"Don't worry about that, bunny," he moves my hair out of my face and places it behind my ear. "Just know that you are safe now. You can stay at my place until you figure things out. We can get your stuff in the morning until you get everything together, is that okay?"

I don't know what takes over me but I tug on his shirt and our lips collide. I need this. I want this. He pulls me so that I am straddling him. Continuing our make-out session, things start to become more heated. I need more, I want more.

"Let's go then," I pull away and sit back on the passenger seat.

"Oh bunny, don't pull some shit if you're not ready for the consequences," he smirks as he starts the car. "I'm not going to lie. I want you, and I want you bad."

"Then do something about it," I lean over and lick the side of his neck. He clenches one hand around the steering wheel and the other lands on my thing.

Squeezing my legs together, I bite my lower lip. The heat travels to my lower belly and those hands... I want them in me. He speeds down the road, but makes sure not to go too fast. I take ahold of his hand and slip it under my dress.
