Jinx x Reader (Arcane: League of Legends)

Back Again

JINX'S POV..

     Why would she do that..? She sent me into another spiral.. But, I mean.. It's not like she meant to do it. Did she? Ugh. I grabbed my head in pain, still hurting from slamming my head against the ground. Even if she did cause one of my spirals, I was still worried for her. She hadn't been in the real world in how long..? She could be getting beat up for all I know.

     I hear a noise, then look up. Sevika, and she had someone behind her, but I couldn't see because it was too dim. That was until the person behind her ran towards me and hugged me, liftng me off the ground. Ven. I hug her back, despite the stuff that happened. She sets me down and I just look back at her. She has a bruise on her wrist, in a hand shape. It wasn't anything too serious, but that didn't stop me from grabbing her hand.

     "Who did this?!" I say in a panic, looking at it closely, then looking at her. She looks back at Sevika and stares. Sevika shook her head. She looks back at me and shrugs, her eyebrows furrowed a bit. "Ven. Answer me, it's Jinx. C'mon.. it's not like you don't trust me.."

     "I.. can't. I don't know what it would do to you." She said, looking down at her wrist that was currently being held by me. "Maybe some other time, okay..?" She says, and I see Sevika walk out of the room. I scoff, and stop holding her wrist, it dropping to her side. I see her nose scrunch up in pain, but why should I care?

     I sit down and relax in my spinny chair. I spin over and over, suddenly stopping. I look over, and see Ven applying bandages to her wrist. A wave of guilt washes over me. What if she is just trying to protect me..? I get lost in my thoughts, and I don't even notice that I've been staring at Ven for the past 5 minutes.

     "You've been staring at me for quite a while, Jinx.." She says, finishing up the bandaging around her wrist. "Listen, I know I didn't tell you.. but I swear it's only to protect you from losing your mind even more."

     "Even more?! I've already lost it enough, can't you see..? So.. there's no point in not telling me. I mean, how much worse could it get..?" I say, still looking at her. She looks up at me, and just takes a deep breath.

     "Trust me.. with this? It could get so much worse.. I just need you to listen to me, Jinx." I was about to start talking, but she wanted to finish her sentence first. "You can't know about this. You aren't ready, and I don't know if you'll ever be ready.." She says, and just continues staring at me. I get up and walk over to her, dramatically sitting on her lap. She instinctively puts her arm around me so I wouldn't fall off the chair.

     "Fine.. but I'm not going to stop annoying you about it." I say, leaning my head against her shoulder. "Why would you do that?"

     "Do what..?" She asks.

     "Protect me from stuff.. Silco never did that, he always let me know.. which wasn't always the best, I guess.." I say, staring up at her and lifting my head up. I hug her tightly, and feel her hesitate to hug back. I can't blame Ven, I've killed people. Who wouldn't hesitate to hug back? I stop hugging her, and see her cheeks. They're a light pink, which wasn't there before. Suddenly, the feeling I got when she was kissing me before had washed over me again. "Ven..?" I say, putting my hand on her jaw. 

      "Yes, Jinx..?" She says, looking down at me. I slowly sit up, and she just stares at me. She doesn't stare at my eyes, though. She stares at my lips. I hear her nervously laugh, then say something. "What Jin-" Before she could finish, I had my lips on hers. Her lips were as soft as a cloud. She took a minute to realize what was happening. I feel her body relax, and her hands rest on my waist. I was about to pull away, but then she pulled me back in. I was glad she did, I was only pulling away because I didn't know if she wanted to keep going.

YOUR POV..

     I felt Powder start to pull away, and I quickly pull her back. She doesn't hesitate to keep kissing. At one point, I have to pull away to get air. She doesn't stop, though. I feel her kiss up my neck until she reaches my face, and gives me one last kiss. I laugh because it tickles, but I still pant heavily, still out of breath from the first kiss.

     I see her smile, and lean her forehead against mine. 

     "What was that about, Jinx..?" I say, fighting the urge to kiss her again.

     "Oh, just giving you a friendly reminder of the kiss we had when you were still drugged up on shimmer." She said, dragging her thumb across my bottom lip. "Was that reminder good enough?" She asks. I nod my head, too tired to speak.

     She gets off of my lap, then goes to sit down at her chair. I immediately miss the warmth of her sitting on my lap. I lose myself in my thoughts, trying to figure out what had just happened. I mean, of course I knew what just happened, but my brain couldn't process it. I held my fingers to my lips, missing hers on mine. I smile slightly against my fingers, and lay my head down on my part of the desk. My eyes feel heavy.. some of the heaviness coming from just being tired, and some of it coming from feeling euphoric. I feel my eyes slowly close, then I start to drift off..
