Espresso collapsed onto the barstool signing loudly catching the attention of the vampire sitting across from him. "What's got you so dead all of a sudden Essy, you look gross" he laughed sarcastically while shifting closer towards him until his body slumped over Espressos shoulder. Espresso looked at Vampire in disgust as he reaked the smell of red wine. Rolling his eyes Espresso tried shifting over to the empty barstool beside him until Vampire swung his arm grabbing his shoulder pulling him closer, while in the process spilling red wine all over his coat. Espresso looked at Vampire in hatred before another cookie started approaching from behind storage.

"Wow didn't expect you to be here this late Espresso. All of my customers left a few hours ago, if it wasn't for Vampie here I would've already closed the bar. What has you awake this hour?" Sparkling asked as he turned to grab the Ingredients to create Espresso's favourite drink. Espresso sighed as he reached in his coat to pull out a coffee-stained piece of paper, slamming it gently on the table. Vampire swiftly snatched the sheet to see what was on the page before turning to Espresso in confusion. "*sigh* it's a recipe, Almond told me he was sick of drinking lattes and wanted to try something different, so he went to me and asked if I could help him. I agreed to help and have been stuck on what ingredients I should add to create an adequate blend for Almond. After a few days, I finally thought of the most efficient blend to Almonds likings and reckoned this was an acceptable way to celebrate." Espresso confessed before the drink was handed to him.

Vampire glimpsed at the sheet skimming though all the words before placing his glass down to give him a thumbs up. Sparkling snatched the page out of Vampires's hand getting an annoyed scowl in return, as the golden hair cookie scanned the sheet before returning it back to Espresso with a rewarding smile.

"So have you started on the batch Essy?" Vampire questioned before resting his chin on Espressos shoulder. "Nope." Espresso said bluntly before chugging down the remaining drink in his glass sliding it back to Sparkling to imply he wanted more. Sparkilng chuckled at Espressos sudden behaviour before going back to create his drink again. "Well if you want someone to taste test your drinks I would be willing to." Vampire volunteered as Espresso clicked his tongue in return before sound of a bell ding interrupted there conversation alerting someone else has entered the bar.

A kid stood by the door while Espresso looked at her with a confused expression on his face. "Hi Sparky, hi Vampy, hi Essy!! I woke up early today so I decided to go find someone to talk to but it seems everyone's still asleep. Can I sit here and talk to you guys since I'm bored?" Before anyone could answer the cookie had already put her bombs by the door and hopped onto the barstool to go take a seat next to Espresso. Vampire went to open his mouth to say something but Sparkling had gone to go speak for him while handing Espresso his second drink, making Espressos face light up. "Sure thing Cherry!! ill get some juice from the back for you to drink, while I'm doing that just make yourself comfortable." Sparkling announced with a bright smile before turning around to get some juice. "Thank you, Sparky!!" she said before turning to Espresso and Vampire.

Once Sparkling had turned around the corner Cherry had turned towards the two other cookies sitting at the bar. Espresso concentrated on his drink and didn't pay much attention to the girl but before long he turned in her direction with a confused look on his face. She didn't seem to look away from him making the tension between her and Espeesso very akward. "You look like a zombie Essy!" she announced making Vampire spit out his drink and laugh hysterically. Espresso looked in the reflection of this empty glass before turning back at Cherry and agreeing, making Vampire laugh more. Cherry than raised her hand to her chest indicating she had achieved something before Sparkling turned around the corner to hand her a red cherry soda.

"I should probably head off." Espresso said while pushing Vampire off his shoulders before heading for the door. "Now Espresso I do classify you as one of my good friends but you still need to pay for your drink" sparkling announced while reaching his hand out for the money. As Espresso stood by the door he turned to Vampire showing his red-stained coat before leaving, making Vampire groan in defeat before placing his black card into Sparklings hand. After Vampire had paid, the three remaining customers waved off Espresso as he exited the store.

Just as Espresso closed the door behind him he could feel the cold wind blow past his neck, making him shiver. The air was much more chilling in the early morning he had noticed, but he didn't let this bother him to much as he tried to navigate himself home using the slight light peaking from the sunrise. After walking around for what seemed like forever the sun wasn't rising higher at this time not making any progress trying to get himself home. Accepting that he was completely lost Espresso decided to stay still until his vision was good enough to guide his way home, but before he could sit down on the soft grass he could hear a loud growling coming from behind him. Panicked he turned around to take a swing at whatever creature was making that sound only to completely miss and fall over.

A small chuckle could be heard from above him, as he raised his head he noticed as the cookies long hair waved with the chilling wind. "Ha, got you, Essy!" Madeleine laughed as he reached out a hand to help get Espresso onto his feet. Espresso blushed in embarrassment but as he went to reach out to grab Madeleine's hand he remembered what Vampire and Cherry had told him earlier at the bar, before noticing the sun had risen revealing Madeleine's face. In addition to falling over in front of Madeleine, Espresso was too embarrassed to let Madeleine see his gross face so Espresoo stood up and quickly turning the other direction to dash away from Madeline. "Espresso what are you doing?! Do you want to get a coffee and talk about it? I'm sorry for before it was just a prank." Madeleine shouted catching the attention of a few other cookies who had woken up early. "Too busy" Espresso replied as he dashed back to his home, too embarrassed to face anyone at the moment. Madeleine tried chasing after him before two cookies had blocked his path to go question him.

Espresso slammed his front door shut as the toasty air from his heated house warmed him right up. He took off his shoes and collapsed onto his couch. As he laid there catching his breath from running all the way home he started to dose off before falling asleep right as everyone in the Cookie Kingdom had woken.
