A loud knock on the door echoed through Espresso's house, waking him from his deep slumber. Although he was lacking a healthy amount of sleep he would always help others before himself. Lifting off the sofa, Espresso headed towards the door to see who the unknown cookie was and why they seemed so determined to enter. *agh who is it this time* Espresso thought to himself while trying to look at least a little presentable before opening his door.

Espresso brushed his fingers threw his hair turning his head at the vanity placed on the wall at the entry way of his house before opening the entrance to see who awaited his doorstep. Espresso opened the door to see Almond outside his house tapping his foot on the doormat signifying he was in a rush.
Espresso noticed his behaviour and quickly remembered about the coffee. "You seem to have caught me at a bad time, Almond, I could have your coffee done and served in around 15 minutes but not instantly like right now. Your are welcome to wait at my place while I head towards my office but granted I do prefer to work alone." Espresso said hoping Almond got the hint that he wasn't ready and needed to reschedule, lucky enough Almond is one of the smarter cookies in the Kingdom.

"I am also quite the occupied cookie, especially at this time, but I'll be at the Jampie Diner until 3:30 so I'll hope to see you there with us." Almond spoke as Espresso looked at him in confusion, before noticing another cookie not far behind him waiting. "Oh sure I'll be there in time I just hope I won't be interrupting you and your wife's date." Espresso joked sarcastically as Almond groaned in irritation before muttering promptly be there before turning around and leaving. Espresso waved him off and closed the door before looking at the clock to check the time. 2:50 he read in his head before heading toward the bathroom to take a shower.

After a quick shower, Espresso quickly changed his outfit and styled his hair, promptly rushing out the door and grabbing the sheet of paper left on the kitchen bench, not wanting to waste Almonds time and took off to Sparklings bar. As Espresso ran down the street, it didn't take him long before reaching the front door. When Espresso entered the place he was shocked to see somebody other than Sparkling behind the bar, someone who he would last expect was standing there attending to everyone drinks.

"VAMPIRE, what are you doing behind Sparklings bar, where is he I need to use the brewing laboratory and need the key" Espresso spoke sternly as the other people turned around to greet him. "Jeez, Essy don't need to be so mean to me :(" Vampire let out while cleaning one of the dirty glasses. "Sparklings upstairs sleeping, not everyone can stay up forever you know, and you don't need the key Ess, my sister wanted to look around your office." Espresso scoffed as he pulled out the sheet of paper from his pocket and threw his coat on the coat rack in a hurry, before heading behind the bar to his workspace. while in the process hearing Herb cookie cheer him on.

Espresso knocked on the door before opening it to see a purple-haired little girl reading threw one of his many books about coffee. "Bro get out I wanna finish this book, if I wanna be as good as Espresso I needa learn more!!" She mumbled not looking up to see who was in the room with her "I wasn't expecting visitors today." Espresso spoke in a somewhat calming voice catching the attention of Alchemist. "Ahh, Sir Espresso, sorry I didn't mean to enter your place I'm sorry." Alchemist apologised while closing the book putting it back on the shelf turning to the door to leave. "Its ok Alchemist you can keep that book you were reading if you want I've memoried it by now." Espresso spoke heading towards Alchemist, shifting down to her height and handing her the book. "Really?" Alchemist said while trying to cover her flustered face from embarrassment. "Yes it's yours to keep! Now I hope you don't mind me asking but would you like to stay in my office while I work?" Espresso asked. Although he preferred to work alone he didn't mind the company, and watching Alchemist try and keep a professional look and hide her excitement working with him made his heart warm.
