CHAPTER 9

BELLA'S POV

We arrived home but Joy and James dropped by at their home with the intention of coming over later that night for dinner and appropriate introduction to our parents.

I helped my mum prepare dinner, she was happy that we were having guests over and she kept on blabbering about how great it was and blah blah blah. I didn't focus on what she was saying because I was busy thinking about Taylor and his unexplainable behaviour towards me.

  '' Senorita!!! '' My mum shouted into my eardrum.

  '' Mum, are you trying to make your daughter deaf? " I asked as I carried the plates to the dining room and placed it on the table.

  '' Well don't blame your poor mother about that. You were standing beside the dish washer like a body with no soul. You didn't even respond to what I was saying. '' She muttered enough for me to hear.

  " Mum, come on. " I pacified her.

  " You sure you okay dear? " She asked looking at me with worries written all over her face.

  " Mum, am fine. You know if I have any problem I will let you know. " I pacified her by rubbing her smooth shoulder.

  " I know. I just... " The door bell rang and I breathed out. Good timing.

  " They have arrived." Jason screamed from the sitting room. I heard the pleasantries going on as he opened the door. I walked to the sitting room and hugged Joy then James.

  " Hope we aren't late? " James asked as he rubbed his palms against each other.

  " No. You showed up early. " I answered and smile. I led them to the dining room where my parents sat.

  " Hello Mr and Mrs Bradford. " They both greeted my parents, James bowing slightly.

  " Hello. You must be Joy. " My mum pointed at Joy and she smiled.

  " Yes Mrs Bradford. " Joy answered.

  " Oh please, call me Carol and this is my husband Joseph. It's very good to know that you guys are my daughter's friends. Please sit. " We all sat down to eat.

My mum beside my dad, I sat alongside Joy opposite my mum while James and Jason sat at the very end claiming they might want to have a discussion meant for boys only, I mean who does that.

We were relishing the meal when my dad coughed gently.

  " So you guys are twins? " My dad asked.

  " Yes sir. Just three seconds older than her. " Jason answered

  " Doesn't count. " Joy reacted to his comment.

  " Good to know. What about your parents? Do they live with you? " My mum asked.

  " No sir. They reside in another apartment but they come to visit us every weekend. "

My dad nodded and we continued to eat in silence. After that, I and Joy went to the kitchen to do the dishes while the boys cleared the table and my parents, they got themselves busy with the Television.

  " James told me what happened this afternoon, are you alright? " Joy asked me.

  " Am fine Joy. Nothing is wrong with me. We just had a little discussion and everything is fine. Thank you. " I convinced her.

  " If you say so. " She relented.

After staying for a while, they left for their home while I returned to my room to sleep.

TAYLOR'S POV.

I drove into the pack house. I tried phoning Linda but she didn't pick my calls so I sent her a text and hoped she got it.

I walked in and a little girl ran into me. She looked at me.

  " An sorry Alpha. " She apologized.

  " it's okay Matinda. " I grinned at her and she ran off. There was no one around as I guessed they had left for their rooms.

I opened the room and entered, there she was sitting on my bed. I was glad to see her as I rushed to hug her but she pushed me away.

  " Don't you dare touch me Taylor. " She warned me

  " Please Linda. Am sorry for earlier. " I apologized

  " Why? Why didn't you tell me? " She screamed at me

  " Tell you what? " I became confused.

  " Tell me you found your mate and that is Bella. " Then it became crystal clear to me what she meant

  " How did you know that? " I asked.

  " It is evident the way you look at her every time. You have never looked at any lady like that aside me. Now you are going to leave me alone. " She collapsed unto the bed and began to cry.

  " Don't worry Linda. I promise not to leave you. I hate her with all my heart, there is no better lady I could ask for than you. I believe the moon goddess made a mistake. " I assured and hugged her.

I couldn't't allow Bella to become a part of my life but the mate bond was pulling me too close and I knew sooner or later, I was gonna be crazy.
