CHAPTER 13

TAYLOR'S POV.

We were all in my father's office and by we, I mean me, Eden, Jeffrey, Hezekiah the head of our pack warrior and my father's present beta.

Our pack had been facing a lot of problems recently especially attack from rogues, it had cause a lot of problems, we could not attend classes at all.

  " We need to do something fast about this, our members are getting injured day by day. " Hezekiah said.

  " At least they are not being killed. " Jeff added.

  " It's not gonna be too long before they start killing them. This is just a signal of what is going to befall us. " I uttered

  " Whosoever that is behind this must be very bold to attack. " Eden pointed out

  " Anyone who attacks from behind and in the dark is a coward not bold. "

  " But we have no idea who is behind this or what he or she wants so how are we supposed to attack back or find him or her? " Eden asked.

  " That person must be our enemy. " Jeff said, rubbing his chin.

  " Of course he is, anyone who is not with us is against us Idiot. " Eden was getting irritated.

  " But I noticed that the attacks on our members always end with five words whenever they report, ' I am back for revenge '. That was what I heard. " Hezekiah informed us

  " That means this person is close to us and might have been among the outcasts. " I said

  " We have many rogues around us Taylor. " Jeff disputed

  " So in summary, this person is a rogue who wants to seek revenge on us but keeps on hiding in the dark to penetrate his work. We need to increase our security and seek help from those we believe can help. " My father said

  " I will contact Mighty Pack, Alex. " Hezekiah assured.

  " You may all leave. " We bowed and left the room.

We got out of the room and the three of us walked to the living room. I sat down opposite the two of them and picked up a fashion magazine beside me as I glanced through it.

  " Hey, am back. " Emily said from the door as she closed it.

  " Welcome. " I and Jeff answered back.

  " Babe. " She sat on Eden's lap and gave him a kiss.

  " How was your outing? " He asked.

  " Find. Guess who I ran into and invited for Taylor's birthday party? " She asked, beaming a smile at me. I lifted my eyes from the magazine I was reading and focused my attention on her.

  " Bella. " She answered herself.

I continued reading my magazine and didn't bother contributing to whatever discussion she was trying to say.

  " Taylor, I invited your mate. " She said.

I didn't reply as I flipped the pages to read more.

  " Look Taylor, you are suffering your wolf. He has not been able to get close to her and you are denying him the right to. You know that this is very dangerous for both of you cause if he is to show himself suddenly and you lose control, it is not going to end well. " Eden warned me.

I dropped the magazine and stood up.

  " I don't need her in my life. I have Linda and am going to mark her on my birthday. " I said and walked away.

I have been doing a good job at hiding my feelings and I wouldn't ruin it. I kept on telling myself that I didn't need her and that I would do just fine. I kept on telling myself I loved Linda and I would not want to betray her feelings for me.

Bella was way out of my league and as for my wolf, I am his master and he should learn to respond to that.

THIRD PERSON POV

SOMEWHERE IN THE FOREST.

The rustling of dry leaves could be heard in the dark and the sound of it being stomped on. A young lady knocked on the door and a hefty man opened for her,

  " Is he in? " She asked.

  " Yes. " The man answered. The lady walked in as another hefty man directed her into a room and in the room, on a chair there was a man dressed in black, with his face and body facing the other side of the room.

  " I have been expecting you for a while now. Didn't you see my messages? " The man said. The lady sat opposite him and crossed her legs.

  " Well, a lot of things have been happening in my pack due to your recent attack Charles. " The man turned to face her.

  " Linda baby, that is exactly the plan. To get Taylor distracted. " Charles said

  " I don't want him getting hurt because I love him. " Linda said.

  " Love? Do you even know what that means? You love him? You are not his mate Linda, the only person who can love him aside his family like crazy is his mate. " Charles mocked her

  " Are you making fun of me? He doesn't even love her, she disgusts him " Linda asked angrily

  " I am simply telling the truth Lin. You can't deny the mate bond, it draws you closer to your mate even if you don't want to be. You have been incapable of making Taylor mark you as his Luna, when are you planning on making a move? " Charles asked.

  " On his birthday. " Linda smiled " He can't resist my body Charles, that's my charm and for his mate, I don't care if you kill her because her death will bring me relief Charles. How do you plan on your moves? "

  " You have simply said it. By taking something he considers invaluable to him but it is actually what he wants. That alone is enough to shatter his whole life. Don't just get caught because it won't end well. "

" I won't. Taylor is all mine. " Linda smirked.
