Fantasy AU!

Kyoko had been injured during a battle. Slashed in the stomach. They were still victorious, though!

They got Kyoko back to Byakuya's castle and there her wounds were tended to properly. She was instructed to rest and heal but...she just couldn't fathom laying back and doing nothing. So instead of resting, she was up and reading, studying, investigating.

Risa, who was caring for Shoya, happens to stumble upon her.

"Kyoko, why are you out of bed?"

"There's work to do. I'm simply investigating the humans."

"You're supposed to be resting, love. In bed."

Kyoko does respond. Risa places her free hand on her hip, feigning offense.

"Kyoko."

"Yes?"

"Can you go lay down, please? It's not good for you to be sitting up right now. You need to be healing, in bed."

"I'm fine, Risa."

Risa uses her magical girl telepathy powers and snatches her pen away from her. Kyoko looked up at her, slightly annoyed. Risa flinches.

"...Kyoko please. I'm not going to ask again." She tried to be firm. It came out as more of a squeal. Kyoko stands up, wincing as she makes her way over to Risa. She reaches to take her pen back. Her lover moves her hand away. Kyoko sighs in defeat.

"I just can't...lay back while we're in the middle of a war. I'm no help in bed."

"You're so much help in bed, Kyoko. We need you to heal so that you can continue to fight. You can't be in battle injured like that. Please, lay down Kyoko."

"I thought you weren't going to ask me anymore, hm?" Kyoko chuckled. Risa smiled and lent her arm to Kyoko for her to use. Kyoko carefully wraps her arm around Risa's. They begin their walk to their bedroom.

                   ~A Few Days Later~

Kyoko had found herself, yet again, in her study. Investigating the humans, of course. Risa, this time not carrying Shoya, happened to walk past the study. She pauses, then goes to stand in the doorway. She stared intently at Kyoko, waiting for here to acknowledge her presence. Kyoko's heart skips a beat when she realizes that she's been caught.

"Kyoko."

"Risa."

"I'm sure you know what I'm about to ask you."

"I've been in bed for two days. I can walk now and I can even raise my arms."

"That doesn't mean you've fully healed."

"I'm sorry, Risa. I just can't do it. I know I need to rest but the humans also need to be investigated. I'm the only detective here."

"Byakuya, Makoto, and I have it under control. You should be in bed."

"I know. I've tried mixing a potion to help quicken the healing process, but this kingdom doesn't seem to have many herbs. I truly wish there was a way to heal faster."

Risa stood, contemplating wether she'd offer her services of not. Kyoko put her head in her hands. That finalized her decision.

"I...hm. I have something that might work. It's quite odd but...if you're desperate then I suppose we could try...." She muttered, hugging her arms and watching the floor.
