The walls were made of plastic, hard, with patterns of pink flowers, stained with handprints.
Children's hand prints.
Letters were scrawled, in scarlet lettering.
"Run, escape, don't look, don't let them touch you."
The same messages scrawled over and over again.
What was more disturbing, however, was that one side of the room, lacked a wall.
In it I could see a whole child's bedroom.
The sheets were torn, pillows yellowed with caked rotting blood.
The carpet was ripping from its seams, ragged, withering.
A child's room that had been left abandoned over the passing of time. From the looks of it, a long time.
I opened the door into another room, this one a bathroom.
The bath was filled with a dark brown crust, which was scraping the edges.
The walls were also made of plastic, the mirror unusable.
Like that of a dollhouse.
From the hole in the wall, all I could see was a wider view of the room.I went right to the edge, and looked down.
The rest of the house was a mere outline. My friends would be here.
That's when I saw movement from under the buckling bed across from the house, as I squinted my eyes to look.
Red eyes glowed from beneath the bed, as I saw hands crawl out.
"Do I have some new dolls?" It said, it's voice raspy as sandpaper as it spoke, crawling forward, limbs clicking with every movement.
It's legs were over the back of its head, hands behind it.The whole figure was cast in shadow, but I could make out long claw-like nails, and yellowing jagged teeth.
It was just getting closer, to the point I could feel it's hot breath rattling the house.
I pulled myself behind the rotting bathtub, as I felt it's hands grip onto the house, causing it to shake violently.
I glanced over the edge silently, to see dark blood-shot eyes staring right at me.
"I must be seeing things." It huffed, bending over backwards as it crawled back under the bed, curling itself up like a dog, closing its glowing eyes.
I let out a shuddered breath, as I peered up from behind the bathtub. Was that what the writing was talking about?
Was that the thing we had to avoid.
If we had to beat it, how could we do that.
From the looks of it, we were dolls in a dollhouse. That thing was our owner, the child that wishes to play with us.
How could we beat something hundreds of times bigger, and all stay alive.
It was going to be impossible.
I pushed my way out from the bathroom, moving into another bedroom.
I saw someone moving from behind the bed.
Han rose his head, looking to me, as if he had just woke up."Where are we.." He muttered.
"Still inside the movie I'm afraid." I sighed.
"I hear new dolls~" The creature cooed, head poking out from the bed as its neck expanded, oozing black liquid over the blood stained carpet.
I turned to Han, placing a finger over my lips as I shuffled behind the bed with him.
It's head came right up to the hole in the wall, it's eyes glaring down at us, creating a shadow in the yellowing light from the dying bulb hanging from the dollhouse roof.
"I must be hearing things.. mother did say I was crazy.""What the hell is that thing..." Han whispered.
"I don't know, but I imagine it's our demon for this chapter." I sighed, as it crawled back off, it's jaw clicking as it curled back over, and under the bed.
"We need to stay quiet. I don't know what it can do to us, and I really don't want to find out."
He nodded, as we stood up, and walked cautiously into the next room.
We moved through multiple rooms like this, hiding when the creature arose, and when we found our other friends.
Everyone was here. Felix, Changbin, Lee Know, Mya, me and Han.No sign of another of our friends.
"Y/N.. what if just no one is here.. then what?" Felix asked, as we sat ourselves inside a wardrobe, which we had pushed behind the bed.
We needed all the protection we could get.
"I doubt that's the case." Mya said, glancing out to watch for the demon.
"That thing said new dolls, yeah? Which means it must have seen someone else." She assessed.
"That's a fair judgement to make." Lee Know said.
Changbin just nodded, wincing as he did.
