Emma and Thalia treaded towards the latter's room, chatting quietly with each other. They only stopped when they heard a loud voice. "C'moooooooooon~ Guess! Just guess!" slurred a voice that sounded like Fae.

"How am I supposed to know?" Another voice asked.

The apprentices stopped walking at the sounds of Fae and Saero's voices reverberating through the hall around the corner. They sounded intoxicated. The girls looked around the corner to see Saero, Fae, and to Thalia's surprise, Damien, sitting on the ground by the bedroom door. Damien's face was a bright pink, matching Saero and Fae's intoxicated faces, but his eyes were glimmering in gold. Has Damien been drinking? Thalia wondered.

"How am I supposed to know which one you have?!" Saero asked.

Fae laughed before exclaiming, "I could have both!"

Saero looks at Damien but Damien stays silent. Saero turned back to Fae, exclaiming, "See?! Even he agrees that's not fair!"

Thalia noticed Emma silently laughing. She seems to compose herself enough to give her friend a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. "Have fun!" She exclaims quietly before walking off, most likely to her room.

Thalia rolled her eyes and listened to the strange conversation the drunk demons were having. "I will say though! The human girls are just mega super duper powerful, ya know?" Fae exclaimed.

"I'll say. You." Saero gave Damien a nudge before taking a swig from a seemingly almost empty bottle before continuing to speak to her incubus, "You got really lucky to land a girl like Thalia. Powerful, feisty, smart, she's like... a human version of my lady–"

"Oh, don't even start talking about Diana, ya crazy puppy!" Fae exclaimed, cutting Saero off.

"I'm- I'm not a puppy! I'm a... aaaaaaaaaaaaa..."

Thalia shook her head, biting her lip to stop herself from laughing audibly. This was extremely amusing to overhear. "Nononononono! She's nothing like her." Damien said. Not only was his drunken slur absolutely adorable to hear, but also amusing.

"Huh?!" Fae exclaimed, thoroughly confused.

Thalia stared over at Damien, seeing him run a finger along the rim of a bottle, eyes deep in thought. "She isn't a demon... She's a human, pure and perfect. She would never hurt me or do anything cruel to me..." Her heart slightly melted at his words. She couldn't help but wonder if he really thought that about her. "I-I-I-I-I-I've loved her ever since I met her and she's been there for me for everything..." Thalia squeaked slightly at how adorable this was.

They continued rambling drunkenly. "Damien?" Thalia asked as she finally turned the corner, facing the three as they looked up at her. As Damien's eyes locked onto hers, she could feel a very weak enthrallment attempt to wrap around her core, but it almost felt sloppily done, allowing her to break through it without even trying.

Saero and Fae scrambled up and pointed at Damien, "IT WAS HIS FAULT!!"

Before she could make them stop, the pair of demons practically sprinted down the hall and out of sight around the far corner, leaving Thalia and Damien alone. She pressed her lips together and walked towards Damien, seeing him gaze hard into her eyes in attempts to enthrall her. "What happened, love?" Thalia asked him, curious as to why they were all drinking. He wasn't answering and she could tell that he was trying to make the enthrallment happen. Still, she remained unfazed. Thalia sighed and crouched down, helping Damien up and ignoring the ornate empty bottles that fell over at his upward movement. "Come on. Let's get you inside."

Thalia guided Damien inside and closed the door behind them. He seemed to follow along, his arm wrapped around her shoulders as she walked him towards the bed. Before she could lay him down, however, he spun her around and pinned her to the wall, staring deep into her eyes. "Damien?!" She exclaim in surprise.
