Not long after Thalia left, Emma began to make her way back to her own room, but stopped as she heard the sound of whispered voices sneak out through a barely opened door. "So we're all in agreement?" She heard Rabbit ask.

"We have to." Fae said, "We don't have any choice anymore."

"It will be for the better, I'm sure." Sergeant stated.

"Indeed." Shadow agreed.

Emma peeked into the room to see the interior of a library where the four rebel leaders stood in a circle. Sergeant leaned against the fireplace mantle while Rabbit and Shadow sat in the empty chairs. Fae, however, floated to and fro from side to side in anxiousness. What are they talking about? She wondered, furrowing her brows in thought.

Emma was so engrossed in figuring out what was happening in the room that she didn't notice a figure coming up behind me and pushing her into the room. She yelped in surprise as she was pushed into the room. "My lady, your student tried to listen in." Bajang informed Rabbit.

"Thank you, Bajang." Emma glanced around quickly at the demons in front of her, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. The four stared at her with cold eyes, as if they were ready to send her back to the human world as a corpse rather than going through with the siege.

Emma scrambled to her feet nervously, eyeing each leader and as she considered running for the door. However, they each looked at each other in contemplation. "Say..." Fae began, "You didn't hear anything did you?"

"N-No! I-I swear!" Emma stuttered.

"What was the last thing you heard?" Rabbit questioned her.

"S-Something about having no choice?" Emma suddenly felt the guards behind her, readying their weapons. She tensed up as she prepared to defend herself.

"Whoa whoa whoa! Hold on, guys!" Fae exclaimed. Emma felt the guards back away from her slowly, most likely still cautious of her. Even then, She didn't relax, though she did allow a small moment of relief to pass through. She was relieved that she wasn't going to die, at least not immediately.

Rabbit, however, looked at her with an ear twitching in curiosity, "Let us ask, first: do you know what has been truly happening with Diana?"

Emma looked to Rabbit, knowing what she meant. Diana had been acting oddly and it was not boding well. The more Emma saw her, she could tell that something was seriously weighing her down or influencing her words. "Yes..." Emma replied, "But what does that have to do with this meeting?"

As she answered, the other demons looked once again at each other before Shadow stepped forward nonchalantly, "Let's not play the ignorance game: we're going to assassinate the succubus when the war is over."

"Oh, what the fuck?" Sergeant growled.

"Way to just blurt it out!" Fae exclaimed.

"There's no use in hiding it. We don't know how much she has heard." Rabbit explained.

Emma was frozen, her entire body tense. "What?" She breathed. Unlike Thalia, she had never had the best relationship with the succubus and Diana is far from her favorite person. But, Emma couldn't imagine assassinating her, especially after what she did for Damien. She turned him human, made his dream come true. Someone who was willing to spend their energy on someone else wasn't worth killing. On top of that, she seems like she will be a wonderful queen. "Why?" Emma asked now that she had gathered her thoughts, "W-what good would come out of killing her?"

Rabbit stood and walked to the fireplace, staring into the open flames. Emma could tell she was about to get an answer so she listened intently, wanting to know why they were planning Diana's murder. "Diana..." Rabbit began, "We fear she has become... corrupted."
