I just left the Della Hall with Zale. Kakatapos lang ng Debate Society's meeting. I am part of the First Prop. Ni-require kaming LegMa and PolSci students na maging part ng first prop since we are trained of public speaking. While si Zale ang argument organizer. I know the pressure of his role, that's why I admire him for that. Kasi hindi ko kaya 'yon. I can't imagine how he would be able to do it.
While walking in the corridor, a football player bump fists with Zale and it looks like he is signaling Zale to go with him. Inakbayan din siya agad nito at kinaladkad sa other side of the corridor. Mukhang hindi napansin no'ng player na may kasama si Zale. While, Zale looked back at me and made face as if he's telling me silently na he'll come back later. He also waved his phone as a sign na he'll just text me so I just nodded at him habang patuloy pa rin siyang kinakaladkad no'ng player. He's tall and a chinito. Other than that, hindi ko na napansin 'yong other features niya.
"Thana!" I looked back to see who shouted my name only to find out it's Nica. "Hey, sakto ka. Papunta na sana akong library." After the Debate Society, next naman is BASA Org kaya sakto ang pagsalubong sa'kin ni Nica.
Hinila ako ni Nica so we walked a little faster. "Tara na! Marami akong kakilala who've been eyeing our organization especially the nerdies who hates socializing." Ngayon ko lang din naisip na maganda 'yong org namin for students who are introverts. Most introverts love reading alone and our organization will definitely help them.
Nakipagsiksikan kami ni Nica sa hallway para mas mabilis makarating sa Augustus Library kung saan gaganapin assemblies ng BASA.
When we entered the library, halos lahat ng tables ay occupied na. I was amazed how students were into this kind of organization, tho, may cut off ang members until 50 members muna as of now.
I am so overwhelmed dahil maraming students and nandito ngayon. Halos mapupuno na namin ang library kung hindi kami nag cut off ng members.
"Good day to all of you. I would like to thank you first for lending a time here today. I do appreciate your warm welcome here in BASA Organization. I never expected that students will be interested in joining. So, thank you. I am so excited to work with you all.
I am Sydney Thana Soledad. You can call me Thana. I will be the acting chairman of this organization. Together with me are Nica Diaz, our membership head, Yesha Rivera, our social media head, and Shane Carson, our external vice president. Later on, Nica will be discussing the available positions that you can apply to.
As we all know, Books Association for Adult Services aims to educate and provide books for legal aged students. The following books would be focusing on leadership, voting, governance, careers, success, entrepreneurship, and of course novels. Every Friday, we will be having our meeting here in Augustus Library. As of now, we only accepted 50 members as per the first come, first serve rule. The membership process will soon be open again for students who want to join, so, if you have friends or happen to know students who are willing to work with us, I will appreciate it if you recruit them soon.
