"Calum!" Jordan whines. "Why is your face all blushy-blushy?"

"Uh, according to his best friend, Michael likes me," he says smugly. Jordan rolls her eyes and grabs Calum's phone, entering the pass code (knowing it off by heart), and checking the conversation.

"Huh, so he does," she notes, nodding her head with a smug smile on her face.

I smirk at her, nodding my head in satisfaction.

"So, are you going to ask him out?" Jordan asks.

"Yeah, when we go back to school next week," Calum explains.

"That's too far," Jordan groans, "I want my OTP to get together now."

Calum rolls his eyes, "it's not like there's anything I can do about it."

Jordan steals his phone, sending a text before handing it back to Calum. He checks the damage she's done.

YO CHLOE!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR MY BEST FrienD AND OKAY, calm down Jordan, he was wanting to ask Michael out, so could you pretty pretty please text him michael's number??

Calum gulps as a text comes through; Chloe giving him Michael's number. Calum hesitates, before copying the number and creating a new contact. He labels it 'Mikey' and sends a message to him.

To; Mikey

uh, hi ?

WHO THE FRICK-FRACK ARE YOU?!?!?

WHY DO YOU HAVE MY NUMBER?!?!?!??!!

uh, chloe gave me your number.

Calum didn't get a reply for a while. He knew he had seen it.

Calum smiles when he starts typing.

DUDE! Michael just fainted!! What did you-- oh I see now. Uh, he'll reply when I wake him up

He stares at the screen before looking up at Jordan.

"What'd he say?" she asks excitedly.

"Uh, he... fainted?" Calum replied nervously.

Jordan just rolls her eyes.

omf i'm so sorry about that!

but, uh, um, yeah, I'd love to go on a date wih you.

Calum smiles widely, mouthing 'he said yes' to Jordan.

"Dude, we're the only one's here; you can speak out loud," Jordan states sassily,

And Calum didn't realise--at the time-- how wrong that statement was.
