SAO Headcanons (Kirito x Asuna and Eugeo x Alice)

The Disciples (Kirito x Asuna)

Ronie looked at the clock. Kirito could return any minute, and the room would still be left unclean if she didn't hurry. She picked up a broom and began feverishly sweeping.

The latch of the window came undone. As the Trainee stopped to look, a dark haired boy leapt out of it, paper bag in hand.

'Hey, Ronie,' he said casually. 'You know, you don't have to clean my room.'

'No, it is my duty as a page, Kirito-senpai!' she said.

He held out the bag he was holding, and took a honey pie from it.

'Here, have this.' he said, just as the door burst open.

'Kiri...to!' came a melodic yet sharp voice.

The girl had luscious chestnut brown hair, and she was wearing a white disciple uniform, with red accents. Her face seemed naturally beautiful, and Ronie felt rather nervous just by looking at her. She radiated a sort of firm sternness that could make many cower, the aura of a leader.

'Oh, hey, Asuna.' said Kirito.

And yet her mentor greeted her in the most informal way possible, not seeming to notice the confusion on Ronie's face.

'How many times have I told you not to use the windows to come in!' she said, annoyed. 'If whoever invented windows wanted us to travel through them, doors wouldn't be invented you know.'

Kirito laughed, then walked over to her.

'Yeah, yeah, I'll cross that bridge when I get there,' he said coolly. 'You want a honey pie?'

Ronie expected her to snap at Kirito and say that it wasn't the time, but to her surprise, Asuna smiled.

'Well, might as well, shouldn't I?' she answered, taking it gratefully. 'Where's Eugeo?'

'Somewhere with Alice in the market. Best not disturb them.' replied Kirito with a wink.

'Um... Excuse me!'

Ronie's voice rang out. Kirito turned around, as if just realising she was there.

'Oh, uh... I'm not good with introductions, but Asuna doesn't need one anyway. This is Ronie, my page. Your own page is called Alina, right?'

Asuna nodded.

'As I was saying,' he continued, 'Asuna ranked top of our exams-'

'Only in Theory!' she protested.

'You came second to me in Combat, but you beat me in Theory. Your Grade Average ranked you top of the class, did it not?'

'Well, yes, but-'

'Don't believe a word she says,' said Kirito half-jokingly to Ronie. 'When you see her in combat, you'll know better than to underestimate her.'

Asuna's cheeks turned a fiery crimson.

'Well, she's also known as the Flash, and she can deal loads of damage with just a rapier,' Kirito added. 'We were just walking in town together.'

Ronie didn't know what to say. Should she go for a "hello" or a "nice to meet you"? Or maybe a "pleasure to meet your acquaintance"?

Luckily for her, Asuna responded first.

'Nice to meet you, Ronie.' she smiled.

'And you too, Asuna-senpai,' she said nervously, fiddling with her fingers. 'Um... Sorry if this is a personal question, but I haven't met you before now, and you seem to be really close with Kirito.'

'I had some things to do,' she replied airily. 'Most of which involved organising the exams for the pages and tidying the school.'

'Didn't you get elected Head of Organisation?' laughed Kirito.

She shrugged.

'It's nothing big. Nobody wanted to do it, so I had to step up to the job.' she said modestly.

'I'll help you any day if you need it,' Kirito offered. 'Just tell me, and I'll be there.'

'Um... Sorry to interrupt again, but...'

Kirito's attention snapped back, and he turned back to Ronie. Ronie thought she was imagining it, but she thought she saw light patches of red on Kirito's cheeks as he glanced at Asuna.

'H-how are you two so close? I mean, it's been a month, but I've only seen glimpses of Asuna around town, and that's usually to get materials for the school.

Asuna and Kirito exchanged glances.

'Well...' said Kirito, scratching his neck. 'Asuna's my girlfriend.'

Ronie looked surprised. 

'G-girlfriend?' she said.

'Yeah.' said Kirito. 

Ronie looked at Asuna again. She could see why Kirito fell in love with her. For one, she was extremely talented, and two, she was incredibly beautiful, even if she was only wearing the standard disciple uniform.

Kirito checked his watch.

'Eugeo and Alice will arrive at any moment. They should be in time for you-know-what.' he said, mostly to Asuna.

'Huh?' said Ronie.

But the disciples did not say anything more about the matter.
