Chapter 3: The Interview

Arjun's POV 

As I took a quick glance to look who had entered my cabin, I saw a young woman who seemed to be in her early 20s entering the room she was wearing elegant formal wear and her hair loosened, she wore a peach mask matching her dress and walked confidently into the cabin, I could see her eyes wandering around here and there, her eyes... her eyes had some magic within it, those big beautiful almond eyes could steal anyone's peace, I guess they were the most beautiful eyes I have come across till now! I saw her glancing here and there

I cleared my throat and pointed her to sit, she sat down in a calm manner taking off her mask and keeping a rigid posture, I could see her nude lipstick which could make anyone go crazy but I had to control it after all she is my employee, she tried maintaining eye contact with me but clearly failed, I could sense she was tensed...

She passed me a huge file with all her achievements in it, I took a glance at it and kept it aside

Ms. Ria Trivedi??

Yes, a cute voice replied but she was too nervous that her voice cracked a little

I have seen your achievements, you are completely perfect for this job

I saw her eyes twinkling with joy

But! since you are a fresher and have no experience currently, we can offer you the post of Assistant manager, is that ok??

Of course, that's completely alright! she replied 

So in your resume, you have mentioned that you have won quite a lot of debate competitions and elocutions, is that true?

Yes! sir, she replied 

Then why are you stumbling, speak up! we like our employees to be confident and professional with their work

I'm sorry I was just a little nervous, she answered

Ok then, you may leave, you may ask my PS for the agreement and other formalities, see you from tomorrow!! 

Thank you, sir!! and she left, I took a last glance at her, I don't know but I felt I had known her for very long and had a special bond with her, but as far as I remember this was the first time I met her!

Well?! was I suffering from temporary memory loss?? or was it just like that??!

Ria's POV

I took a deep breath as I left the cabin, hurray!! I was so happy!! I did it!! I finally did it!! I went and hugged Kajal, and danced happily, I stopped dancing before I realized I would definitely sprain my ankle soon if continued, Kajal discontinued the hug

I have to go, wish me luck!! 

Sure, all the best!! I'll meet you in the lobby, bye!

I waved at her!!

I went towards the elevator and clicked on the Ground floor, I soon reached the Ground floor. I saw Gautam busy on his phone and went toward him

OMG!!! I did it!!! I got selected!! 

Gautam almost dropped his phone at my shriek

OMG! Wow, congratulations!! 

and he hugged me 

Toh when is the party?! he exclaimed

Which party?!

Arre you got selected won't you celebrate?!!

"Mein gareeb hu saab itne paise nahi" and we both laughed 

Translation: I'm broke I don't have much money
