Chapter 4: A Bad Night

Dev! no please don't leave me!! no! please dev!! stop!! I pleaded

and they both walked off,

no! stop!! dev! wait I cried and cried

until my sleep broke and I gasped for breath, I realized it was just a nightmare, I drank water from the bottle kept aside and drank half of the bottle, I could feel my heart racing

it was only 1 am or else I would have planned to stay awake but I wanted to sleep since tomorrow was my first day at the office, but I couldn't! I decided that I had to divert my mind

I took my mobile and switched on my data, and just then I saw a Facebook notification pop up

I didn't know who it was and decided to check out

It was someone with the username "idiot", I wondered who had such stupid usernames and replied

who?!

weren't you sleepy?! how are you still awake??

ok! wait was he spying on me?

I am still sleepy but how did you know?

and I know nothing about you, would please bother to tell me your dear name?!

Oh please, these idiotic usernames can be only of one person and that is you the great Gautam, and well aren't you the stalker, stalking me in the middle of the night and sent him an unamused emoji

hehe, well I wasn't sleepy so thought of checking out!

ah, that's ok

well why are you still awake?

I was sleeping until the past 20 mins, I had a nightmare

whoops! ok then go sleep or else you might end up late tomorrow

I turned off my phone and went back to sleep again

I woke up the next day at 7:00 after snoozing my alarm thrice, I woke up very reluctantly, tied my messy hair up, and went to brush my teeth, after scrubbing my teeth without any breaks and huge efforts, I looked at my teeth in the mirror and made a wide smile showing off my clean white teeth, I remember when I was a kid everyone used to tease me because of my teeth, but then after I got my braces everyone was like Omg! You are so beautiful!

I took a quick shower and put on a black shirt with blue jeans and topped it off with a belt, I wore a high ponytail and made sure to stick all the flyways, I wore my diamond studs and a cute little chain, and my dad got me those diamonds when I was a child and I love them a lot, and the chain was gifted by my great grandmother, so I have a very deep attachment to these ornaments...

I went downstairs to eat my breakfast and just then Adi came out of his room

We both sat down at the table and mom bought her home-made palak parathas

I mean who on the earth makes palak parathas!! Ok, I understand I hate palak but who tries to feed it this way, seriously my mom is a genius!
