The present doesn't always follow the past
Here in the future, we can see clearly, that all was not lost
Each word that was written, cast a long shadow
Passing the test of time
Reaching out like a mother's loving arms
Every poem she published, still touches new hearts
Sending out a message, that we didn't give to receive
Encouraging the next generation to write, was the aim
Nurturing their words, as yet unwritten
The priceless present that destiny has in store for you, is to witness your power to influence the future
