Progress (boring chapter btw)

Some months or so passed by like it was nothing though Diluc's progress was slow it was progress none the less and with the constant monitoring of Zhongli and the others it motivated him to carry on though it hurt him a lot since its such a bad wound healing needed to be slow

As progress needed to be slow it would take years for it to be qualified as "fully healed" though it's something that will affect him and his body forever it was still able to be healed and he could continue on with his life

Even though Diluc would be monitored daily the times nobody was there nothing would happen since he wasn't able to do basically anything so he mostly lived his life in solitude and confinement

Diluc woke up pretty early well earlier then he usually would that is
A few hours later Albedo came in with papers and pen already pre prepared to start writing Diluc's progress

A "Good morning Master Diluc,how are you doing."
D "*Sigh*..The same..nothing different then all the other times."

Diluc said very coldly not even trying to move his head to look at Albedo

A "Well thats obviously a lie...I know were not that close.But you can tell me if something is bothering you..jokes aside we do have all day."
D "...Nothing is wrong.Just..write down my progress and leave as fast as you came."
A "*Sigh*..Well if your going to be like that..ok."

Albedo said sitting down in a chair

D "*Sigh*I know your just trying to..help.I apologize for being so..stubborn."
A "Its quite all right..I know its hard on you."
D "...."
A "Well..to past the time.Do you have any questions?"
D "About?.."
A "I don't know maybe..about the surgery..or your health?"
D "..Right.Well if you don't mind me asking...what
.about my injury..?I want to know the true impact it has on my body."
A "Are you sure..it might be hard to hear."

Diluc went silent but then hesitantly said

D "Yes..I do."
A "*Sigh*Ok..well.Unlike before we weren't sure you would survive but now due to our daily monitoring we now know there is a 100% chance of you surviving but in contrast to that your injury was to serious and the damage to your internal organs had already been done and could not be repaired.So all that stuff..Zhongli said about you being a "Better Diluc then before." is..false and your body can not and will not be restored to its previous state."

D "...."

Diluc felt his heart sink to his stomach even though Albedo warned him,those words cut deep now knowing the fact that he will never be the same just from one mistake

A "Im sorry Diluc.."
D "...What for?..Im the one who asked."
A "....."

Before the two had even realized the whole day had passed it was already night outside and they had been talking the whole time
Since Albedo knew how to multitask he wrote down Dilucs progress and talked at the same time.

D "Never mind that...you got my progress right..?"
A "O-Oh!Yes..I did."
D "Good..well you should be making your way home.Its...getting late."

Albedo nodded and packed his things while before leaving he turned around to say

A "Goodnight Diluc.."

Diluc couldn't sleep for the rest of the night he couldn't stop thinking about what Albedo said every word felt like it pierced him over and over and wouldn't stop

Diluc didn't end up sleeping last night and stayed awake all night
Kaeya was the next person to monitor Diluc
