A/N: The above video is supposed to be a blackbird singing at night...or at least that's what I searched for. I would greatly appreciate it if a bird expert could help me confirm whether the bird is indeed of the blackbird variety.
Blackbird 𓅫
in the middle of the night
singing, "it'll be a wonderful day
when the sun comes back up again"
Midnight ☾
is the time that I'm writing this at
is the time blackbirds have tea time
is the time I wish I would just fall asleep at
One day ☼
I'm taking a walk in the woods
I reach the "twilight zone"
where no natural light reaches
I turn to my right
a wise-looking birb
stares me dead in the eye
(He gave me the stink-eye)
Before he can take flight
"Est-ce que tu m'aimes?"
escapes my mouth
But the raven ignores my question
and instead responds with his own
"What time is it?" 𓅛
A/N: Message me if you'd like to turn my poetry into a song. I'll give you my blessing; I just want to get to oversee the process. Maybe we can do a duet or a harmony together.
If you couldn't tell, I draw on inspiration from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland quite a bit :) Tell me: Are you a fan of AIW ?
Fun fact about me: I am the proud owner of a big book of birds and a cute, pocket-sized guide to identifying bird calls, and yet, I can't for the life of me confidently say if the bird (birds??) in the video is actually a specimen of the blackbird species.
