Your POV:

House hunting is not the type of hunting I'm accustomed too.

The ways of the hunter-gatherer would be closer to my expectation of 'hunting' but this version of being driven to different properties where someone in an overly starched suit and gelled hair went on about the benefits of said property is more practical for modern day society. Jimin looked at houses and apartments both, right in the hub of the city and also by its outskirts, clearly he didn't have much of a clue as to what to get.

I only managed to pick up a few loose words as he spoke to his manager, something about it not being safe in his home and renting a property for now or just living in the dorms.

Which explains why we're in another showroom for an apartment. It's beautiful L-shaped corner spot that opened up to a wide living space with a whole 2 walls of glass. Onto the right a kitchen and dining space sat on a platform above the rest as it bathed in the natural light from one of the glass walls. Just centimetres after the farthest kitchen cabinet the walls dipped into a small and short hallway with the bathroom at the end and two bedrooms side-by-side.

Simple and ideal for one or two people to live in.

We'd seen many different places today but this would probably be the closest to his old apartment and most convenient for a temporary stay as it's already furnished.

I don't pay heed to whatever Jimin asks of the realtor despite receiving the translations, allowing him to just pull me along by the hem of my sleeve.

But one particular question strikes my interest.

"When do you think is the soonest possible for us to move in?"

As I listen to the automated voice the confusion on the realtors face makes more sense.

Us.

Jimins mistake dawns on him a moment later, quickly brushing it off as a speech error and politely laughing.

Thats a first, he usually seems to prefer ignoring my existence as a whole whenever we're in public.

I take the liberty of leaving him be to concentrate and idly walk towards the giant windows. They themselves are like giant gridwork out of silver metal, yet only the middle row is able to swing open.

At the corner the glass seemed to be joined seamlessly, the left overlooked the swimming pool of the apartment complex and the right gave a birds eye view of the city. From the 26th floor all the little humans looked like little ants, unfocused and ambling around unlike how ants usually are.

They're cute, well atleast they look so from afar. After the whole flashing cameras and pushy reporters, maybe the mortals aren't... that cute anymore.

A small nudge to my shoulder alerts me of Jimins presence.

"Like the place."

The monotonous voice in my ear made it hard to decipher if it was a statement or question. Either way a nod was the safest bet. I've embarrassed myself countless times around this man, perhaps I should start working a little harder on upholding my dignity.

Not the same can be said for my integrity after all, I've been snooping around in his dorm and all belongings the past couple of days to find a clue on who that girl Heeji is.

He's only said her name twice or thrice really, if anyones keeping count but it was always a type of strangled plea.

"You look tired today as well." The in-ear translator cuts into my train of thought.

I nod again, the past couple of days have been horrible. I go to bed tired and wake up even more tired, my day passes by in lethargy.

Worry lines crease between his eyebrows, his arms cross over his chest as he speaks.
