Your POV:

Jimins eyes flicker over in concern at my slumped form. In response I huff at him and turn the other way.

After getting roped into being his dance partner I'm on the verge of dying. His dance routines always seem so effortless, after actually joining in one ...yea it's nowhere near as easy as it looks. He's got abit of a perfectionist side too, it's 1a.m now and we've only stopped for a light dinner after my continuous pleading with him.

"You're getting more lethargic each day. Are you sure you're okay?"

I give him the most judgmental look I could muster. Quite easy to imagine considering thats his default expression majority of times. His concern mellows into a sheepish smile as he scoots a little further away.

The choreographer left awhile ago, with  high approval on the partner dance and this is apparently now something I have to do? Atleast until Jimin comes up with a believable excuse to get me kicked off the project.

His phone pings before he could say his next words. He apologetically smiles and looks at the screen, several more repeated pings were heard and he eventually unlocks to reply. His eyebrows are drawn together with familiar lines of frustration between them.

Is it the stalker again? Although working on dignity my integrity is about the same, so of course I lean closer to peer over his shoulders.

And on the screen is... a picture of us?

It's definitely us from earlier; Namjoon, Jimin and I. All drenched and barely holding umbrellas overhead as Jimin pulls us with his hat lopsided and glasses shifted out of place too.

It's a picture of us in a groupchat.

"Ah... how do I always end up getting caught with you," he mutters and it gets translated. With a heavy sigh he types out a reply.

.....I miss the days when he was terrified of me.

"You're the one who can't cross roads."

My little mumble of complaint is unfortunately heard. His head whips over in the blink of an eye, his face is all skewered in worry once more but this time more so in a playful manner.

"Did I lie?" I triumphantly smile.

Au contraire to his usual response of judgmental disgust or a cocky jab at my ego his face blanks out. His eyes widen by a fraction, a miniscule action I could only notice due to the proximity between us. Theres some sort of epiphany going on in his eyes, from this close and under the light his irises are more brown than black.

A silvery light begins to glow where the base of my feet touch the floor, those teal water-like ripples again. A checkpoint? So far it's all happened whenever I venture out to do something new, like when I first stepped out of his dorm and when I first cooked... what new thing is happening now?

I softly call for him while pointing to the floor, was it the dancing? Oh gosh if it's the dancing then I'd need to keep on doing this tiresome routine with him to try and get an answer.

When he doesn't make any noise of reply, my gaze pulls away from the glowing floor to meet his once more, only to find his eyes already waiting for mine.

And then I notice something.

"Jimin, your pupils are dilatin-"

"Nosey," He sharply says before using his finger to push my head back by the tip of my nose with more force than needed.

I lightly smack his hand and scoot away, returning to where I sat before.

"Mean. I read online that dilated pupils are a sign of brain damage."
