It's been two days since Dream saw George.

He hasn't been allowed anywhere near his room and had been sleeping on the couch, although his rest had come to him in small bouts. He was growing tired of not being there for George, and his worry was beginning to grow so much that it had started affecting his scent, causing Bad to open up most of the windows in the cottage. The fresh air was welcoming and smelled of blooming roses, helping to calm the alpha, but not enough.

"He's not eating and doesn't want to talk to us. What do we do?" Dream asked, sitting on the couch while Bad walked around, fussing over random bits of furniture.

"He just needs time," Bad explained, smiling sadly at the alpha. Skeppy was out at the moment cutting down wood with some of the other locals, otherwise he wouldn't allow Dream to be left alone with the omega. It made Dream's lungs ache. He hated not being trusted. "He's nesting right now and doesn't want to be disturbed."

Dream frowned. "Nesting? Why? What kind of nesting?"

To some, the question might be seen as odd, but not to Dream. Unlike some other village clans and packs, they nested every day and slept in them instead of beds, but that was casual nesting, which every second gender did. Omegas had three types of nesting, unlike everyone else. They had casual nesting, sickness nesting, and then maternity nesting.

"I don't know," Bad replied, walking into the kitchen. He was making muffins again, this time blueberry flavoured. "I'm pretty sure he's nesting for comfort. He's probably not well."

"Yeah," Dream agreed. Sickness nesting it is. "Can I see him?"

Bad pursed his lips. "I'm not sure . . ."

"Maybe you can ask him? I just want to make sure he's okay."

The omega sighed, shaking his head, but agreed, nonetheless. "I'll ask, but don't get your hopes up. He's still very vulnerable right now."

Dream nodded. "Of course. I understand."

Bad gave Dream a look of contemplation for a moment before turning, walking to George's room. Dream listened as the door opened and closed, anxious for George's answer, if he decided to give one in the first place.

A few minutes passed before the door opened again, and Bad walked out expressionless, although he gave Dream a kind smile when he noticed the eyes on him. Dream quickly stood, wringing his hands together nervously and stepped towards Bad, meeting him halfway.

"What did he say?" he asked, glancing between the door to the shorter man in front of him.

Bad sighed, shaking his head. "He didn't say anything, Dream," at the news, Dream felt himself saddening, and Bad blocked his nose with his fingers, hating the smell of depressed alpha. "Don't get all sad yet. I'm not finished."

Dream perked his head up, intrigued, and stared Bad down, curious as to where the omega was going with this. "What do you mean?"

"He didn't say anything, but he nodded," Bad continued, stepping to the side so that Dream had access to the closed door. "He wants to see you, but don't get too close. He's still upset."

The alpha nodded and quickly made his way to the door. He made sure to be quiet while opening it, not wanting to disturb the small wolf, and slipped into the room, closing the door behind him.

He shifted into his wolf form and silently trotted across the floorboards of the room, stopping when he reached the outskirts of George's nest, which was on the floor beside the bed, made up of the bed's quilts and pillows, cushioned by multiple fabrics, either borrowed or owned by the brunette himself. Dream noticed some of Bad's clothes in the nest and felt something twist in his heart when he saw Skeppy and Techno's hoodies in the pile. There was nothing Dream owned in the omega's nest, and it made him more than sad. He whined quietly and sat beside George's nest, his snout barely touching the arrangement of cloths and clothes.
