Recap: Adam stands up and holds my hand "come on I'll explain" he says and we both walked off

I took her into my room and placed her on the bed with me hovering over her and pinning her hands above her head

"what is it" she says clearly feeling how tense I am right now

"I'm going on a mission with Maria" I say and she nods for me to continue

"I know you said you wouldn't bother to find him but I have been searching for him" I say and her eyes widened

"what" she says clearly mad

"I have to go to Mexico to get the case file I'm looking for ill be back in a few days and I have to take Maria because she's looking for a different file in a secured area" I said and she doesn't respond

"fine" she finally says avoiding my eyes

I took my spare hand and turned her face to look at me her eyes and she is smiling

"What" I said

"its nothing don't worry about it" she says struggling in my hold

I let go of her and she sits up looking at me

"who's maria and why all the attitude towards her" she asks and I couldn't help but remember all the memories I had with her

Maria is my ex girlfriend we dated for a whole two years but I broke up with her after she cheated on me with some dude and tried to force marriage on me

"she's my ex girlfriend" I said and her eyes meet mine

"ex girlfriend whyd you break up" she asks and I hate lying to her

"she cheated and tried to force me to marry her" I say and she gasps

"I'm so sorry" she says and lean towards me placing herself on my lap and looking her hands around my neck and I lean into her touch hugging her back

I swear every time this girl touches me I get horny like what the hell man

"adam" she says and I hum in response

"I can feel you" she laughs and my eyebrows furrows as my fucking dick get hard

"because it isn't I don't like my birthday"

"its the one day where people pretend to care about me the fake hugs and kisses" she says and my eyebrows furrowed I thought she like hugs and kisses

"don't get me wrong I love hugs but I hate fake ones" she says almost like if she can read my mind

I let go of her hand and she sits up stretching her hand in my suit pocket pulling out a pack of ducking gummy worms how did I not know that was there

"how" I said and she shrugs "I get hungry sometimes" she says that's a lie she's always hungry one thing I really like about her she doesn't care about her weight or height like other girls her age

"well happy 19th birthday cutie" I say

"thanks" she quickly says and gets off the bed

"I'm going downstairs to grab some water" she says and I nod I'm going to take a shower

I walked out of the room and down the stairs don't get me wrong I really like adam but I didn't want him to know about my birthday

Heck I didn't even want to my birthday

I walked into the kitchen to see two boys on stools they look about the same age as me and a girl doing her homework beside them
I walked up and gave them a smile which returned

I grabbed a glass and head to sink as Margaret walks in

"Hey zoe" she greets like not even an hour ago she seemed like she didn't like me

"hey.....sorry my head keeps calling you Margaret what's your name?" I ask and she laughs

"then you're head is right it is Margaret" she said oh well I'm not wrong

"look I'm sorry we got off the wrong foot I was just mad that Adam brought an innocent girl into this" she says and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion

"I just don't want you to get hurt sweetie being the mafia boss's girlfriend can be dangerous and you seem really nice" she says and I shake my head in understanding

"don't worry I won't but thanks"

"also I saw you left your shoes by the front door" she says and I nod taking a sip of my water

"you don't have to if you don't feel comfortable"

"no no its no problem my mom always taught me to respect other peoples household" I say and she laughs a bit and nods

"well we are still here" on of the boy says

"yeah I'm zane" he greets and I shake his hand

"and I'm zade" the other one says and I shake his hand the twins seem cool

"oh and don't forget me I'm Ayna" the girl says she seems really nice his whole family does

The twins walk away leaving me and Ayna alone

"hey wanna go watch a movie" she says and I nod excited
