AN: For those who don't know, Warner Bros. didn't like the name 'Beetlejuice,' so they sought to have it changed to 'House Ghosts,' until Tim Burton joked about 'Scared Sheetless,' which was unexpectedly considered. In my book, I'll refer to Scared Sheetless as an adaptation of Beetlejuice, with the actors in the movie being the names of the characters. I DO NOT OWN SCARED SHEETLESS!

Two years after the show, Remus was 15, in high school, but he called it college because that's what he'd call it if he was in England and still just as into musicals. Remus' schizophrenia was fairly serious a few weeks after the performance. He refused to take his medications or do anything else. When asked about it, he stated he wasn't insane and so didn't need them, but Betelgeuse sensed there was more to it and inquired whether anyone at school was saying anything. That was the situation. Because of his schizophrenia, they were making him feel like a freak. It was made worse for him by the fact that schizophrenia is highly unusual to be diagnosed before the age of 15, let alone at the age of 12. His former foster parents tried to figure out what was wrong with him when he was just ten years old and began exhibiting severe symptoms, and after two years of battling and transferring therapists, he was eventually diagnosed with childhood schizophrenia. He was having erratic outbursts and quick emotional swings, finding it difficult to stay concentrated on a single activity, strange shouching and inappropriate posture, spontaneous flapping of his arms or continuous tapping of his feet, hallucinating more than usual, and being continually worried. Betelgeuse was startled when he heard a loud crash from his son's chamber and dashed upstairs, leaving his half-eaten cheese and jam sandwich behind him. When he entered the bedroom, he was both startled and terrified by what he saw. Their communal wardrobe had been tipped over, the room was a shambles, and Remus was curled up in a ball, weeping and rocking himself while biting his bleeding nails, which had been bitten too short.

"Oh my gosh! Remus. Are you all right?" the demon said as he climbed over the wardrobe and snatched Remus into his arms. Betelgeuse took Remus' hand in his and drew him closer for a few moments. He adjusted him by placing him in his lap. He supported his neck with a hand that slipped up from his back while he positioned him horizontally at chest level. With a free hand, after Remus buried his head into the crook of his father's elbow as his fingers brushed over his hair. His eye was a sharp fire yellow, showing his overwhelm. "Would you like to take your meds?" Remus nodded in answer to Betelgeuse's question. Betelgeuse tenderly rocked Remus, caressing his forehead after ensuring he took his medication. The demon pondered what he might do, so he began quietly humming Remus' favourite tune from Les Misérables. 'Master Of The House'. Remus joined him halfway through the song as he gently sang the words. Remus slept out before the song ended, and Betelgeuse smiled as he glanced down at his sleeping son, who now appeared to be at ease. He carefully took him up and laid him on the bed, making sure not to disturb him as he draped the blanket over him and tucked him in. He awakened a few hours later and glanced around, noticing his father working at his desk, filing the reports from the Neitherworld. "Oh, good morning, sleepy," Betelgeuse giggled and went over to Remus, laying on the bed with him.
