My best friends and I hopped out of the silver, Jaguar F-Pace and grabbed our bags from the trunk. "Thank you." We called to the Uber driver as we closed the trunk and made our way inside the airport.
Caleb had convinced me to come down to New Orleans to see him and I had convinced him to buy me and my friends roundtrip plane tickets. It was sad how he would give me anything I asked for and I would not give him the one thing he asked of me. "Just go on a date with me. One date." He would beg and plead, and it drove me fucking crazy. I didn't even feel bad for asking him to do things for me, that's how uninterested I was and how naive he could be.
Christian was no good for his chances of me ever saying yes either. I had thought about giving Caleb a chance more than once, especially when Christian was acting out, but now that he was finally giving me what I wanted, Caleb had absolutely no chance. He didn't know that though.
My phone vibrated in my hand as we walked past all the people waiting in line to get their bags checked. Caleb had gotten everything checked through TSA so all we had to do was go through the metal detectors.
I glanced down at my phone as we waited for our turn to put our stuff in the containers and walk through. Christian had texted me.
Baby🔐👑❤️
Have a good trip baby ... hmu when u land
I will. Love you❤️
️
I threw my phone into the container and sat it on the conveyor belt. Going through the motions, I took off my shoes and turned my necklace around. Standing in the detector, I held my arms out and stood with my legs slightly spread apart. Pulling up my hair as I was instructed, the fair skin, heavy set woman quickly ran the handheld detector over my body and nodded that I was good to go. I quickly snatched my stuff out of the container, seeing my phone screen light up.
Baby🔐👑❤️

How when I'm at the airport
Go to the bathroom
you make me sick
I just got out of the metal detector, gimme a lil second
😘
I hurried to the bathroom and slammed the stall door, locking it. I was so glad I decided to wear a skirt. Quickly lifting it, I stuck my phone between my legs and snapped a couple of pictures. I didn't feel like checking them, so I sent all five.
By the time we got to Louisiana, three hours later, Christian still hadn't replied so I nicely checked the tracker app I had on him. He was at home and had been since he left my apartment that morning. I sighed.
"You are not about to ruin this vacation for me with your whining about Christian. Now, you are supposed to be here for Caleb and unless you want to fund your own trip, you better get to smiling like you wanna be here. Hey, Caleb. It's so nice to you again." August nudged me forward in Caleb's direction with a smile.
"Thank you for bringing her. You look beautiful, Mikahyla." He grinned a toothy grin as he grabbed my hand and kissed it. "Thank you." I smiled small. "Whatever you wanna do. It's on me." Caleb smiled as he led us through the hotel lobby and up to our room.
