"Loser!" Someone called out as I walked throughout the hallway
I turned around to see Chase walking toward me, waving his hand.

I put my hand on my hip and snorted, "Really is that the way to call a girl?"

"Woah when did the good girl get a brain and an attitude." He smirked

"Don't you good girl me you arsehole," I scoffed in disgust, "Why can't just you leave me alone? I thought you didn't want to be seen with me?"

Chase gaped at me and opened his mouth to speak, but I cut him off,

"You told me you didn't want to be seen with me, and told me to piss off another time, so why just care now?" I glared, "Are you trying to ruin my friendship with Sage? My very first friendship?"

Chase looked shocked once again and opened his mouth to talk, "I thought I was your first friend." He sagged

I scoffed, "Yeah cause calling me shitty names and bullying me is definitely friend material, totally." My voice dripped with sarcasm and you couldn't even recognize my voice anymore

"No Brianna it isn't like that..." He tried,

"Who paid you?" I grounded

"What?"

"Am I like your next charity case? Are you really trying to become those good girl bad boy stories?" I coldly stated at him, "If someone is paying you to hang out with me or like me or whatever the hell is going on just fuck off." I flipped him the bird and walked away, heading to Sage with no care in the world

What in the actual fuck?

My chest ached as Brianna's words repeated through my head repeatedly and constantly.

'Who paid you?'

'Am I like your next charity case?'

I looked over to Brianna to see her laughing with Sage and jealousy pumped through my veins in a millisecond.
So being the jerk I am, I decided I would make Brianna jealous.
I smirked at one of the freshman girls and she giggled

"Want to come with me?" I tried making my voice deeper than it usually was and she nodded. I pulled her into the janitors closet where Sage and Brianna were standing by and I took a little peek outside. Brianna did not show one trace of jealousy or emotion. She just kept laughing like she didn't even see it, but once you got to her eyes, there was a glint of pain but it disappeared very quickly

But it was enough to give me a little bit of hope.
