You all remember the episode with the T.A.R.D.I.S. becoming a human named "sexy"
Okay and there were all these other dead T.A.R.D.I.S. s there.
BUT THEY WERE ALL POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOXES!
The Doctors T.A.R.D.I.S. is a phone box because the chameleon circuit broke.
So why are all these T.A.R.D.I.S.es phone boxes too?
What if there's someone on earth trying to signal for help and that's why every time a T.A.R.D.I.S. lands on earth the chameleon circuit breaks and turns into a box used to call for help?
And even if the Doctor tried to fix it it wouldn't work but he doesn't know that because he's never tried it.
