It's been a week since izuku started the V.R.P, nobody but shouto, momo, Jiro, and the big three talks to him which he didn't care if they wanted to speak to him or not, he got closer to shouto.
Shouto laced his fingers with izuku smiling as he brought izuku to his favorite place, when shouto finally stopped walking izuku looked to see a small pond with ducks and a bench "I always come here during my free time or when I'm down.. nobody else knows about this place as far as I know of I call it my safe space" shouto said izuku looked at shouto "then why to bring me here to your safe space?" izuku asked shouto smiled slightly "because I wanna share it with you... plus I like your company" shouto said izuku hummed in response
Shouto searched the pocket of his hoodie and kneeled in front of the small pond, he opened a small bag with rice grains, he took a handful and held out his arms letting the ducks eat izuku sat and watched shouto and smiled slightly "you're an animal person huh?" izuku asked "depends on the animal, I do like ducks, cats, hamsters and bunnies" shouto said smiling
Shouto stood up and joined izuku on the bench, he leaned against izuku's shoulder izuku wrapped his arm around shouto's shoulder "hey midoriya" shouto said, "yes todoroki?" "I don't know if this is a strong topic but what was your childhood like?" shouto asked
Izuku sighed "well growing up I never met my dad it was just my mom and me, she was the kindest person I've ever known she always supported me, I was always bullied as a kid because I told everyone I was quirkless since my quirk is rare and powerful.. when I was 9 my mom was killed in a villain attack since then I've always hated villains so I kill any villain I see.." izuku said softly "I see..." shouto said "what about you?" izuku asked
shouto looked down "well... my whole childhood was spent on training to surpass all might... I have 3 siblings but I've never been around them growing up. after my quirk manifested my dad started training me isolating me from my siblings calling them 'failures' my eldest brother hated me because I was the one who's capable of fulfilling our dad's dream... he died because of his quirk. My mom poured boiling water on my left side because I remind her of my dad then he sent her to a mental hospital that was when I was 6... I haven't seen her since and since that day I decided ill never use my old man's quirk" shouto said izuku was shocked, to say the least
He gently grabbed shouto's face and cupped his cheeks "hey! don't say that it isn't your dad's quirk, you may inherit it from him but it's yours, it's your quirk, not his!" izuku exclaimed looking straight into shouto's heterochromatic eyes, shouto's eyes went wide as he looked at izuku before hugging him "thank you midoriya" shouto said quietly izuku hugged back and combed through shouto's hair with his fingers softly and slowly "call me izuku and... anything for you" Izuku said.
