The promise

when they first met they were both 5 ( idk why but they're both the same age in this story) they are 13 now

Xiao's POV

Me and Venti have been best friends for 8 years now, we go to the same schools, 

Me and Venti were having fun in his room until my and his mom came into the room and said

"Xiao, Venti, we have something to tell you" Ven's mother said.

"Hmm? What is that?" I asked.

"We're moving. Far, away." Ven's mom said.

"WHAT!?!" Venti shouted

"We are..." Ven's said.

"No way..." i said, not believing.

"I'm really sorry Xiao..."

"No no it's not your fault Ven... we both knew this would happen, but not today"

"I'll miss you..."

"Me too Ven..."

Our mother's looked at each other before looking back at us sadly as we were hugging.

"Hey look, we're moving tomorrow, what about you two spend you're time together?"

"We will" we both said.

'Dammit...i haven't even been able to tell Venti, how am i supposed to tell him now?!'

we both made a promise before our parting, i will really miss him, i already had a crush on him.

Venti: Xiao if we get older promise you'll be with me forever!..

Xiao: I will!... Take care Venti!..

Venti: You too Xiao..!

Years later...(they are now 18, meaning 5 years later...)

Venti's POV

I was getting ready for my first day in highschool, i was very excited since my friends Zhongli And Kazuha goes to that school.

I got dressed in my uniform, and went downstairs to eat breakfast,

Jean: Venti! There you are! Let's go to school now!

Sucrose nodded, i ate my toast on the table and went to brush my teeth.

Couple minutes later...

I was ready, we then walked to school, waving goodbye to mom. The school was not that far, only minutes away.

4 minutes later...

Jean: we finally made it to school!

Sucrose: my friend Albedo is a student here, we passed the principal's office when we were passing his project during their science fair.

Venti: i see what a coincidence...

Sucrose: i don't think so, since mom was having trouble to find a school for us I decided to barge in and help her.

Venti: ohh.

I then saw Zhongli and Kazuha, Kazuha was waving at me, both of them had a smile on their faces.

I ran over to both of them when I bumped onto someone,

???: ow

They said.

Venti: so so so sorry! It was an accident!

I handed my hand to them, but they slapped it away.

Kazuha, Zhongli and my sisters then started to sprint towards me.

???: watch where you're going next time! Tsk...

He said in an annoyed tone, he sounded familiar.

Zhongli: my apologies Xiao he didn't mean to, he's new here

Xiao?? I thought.

Venti: Xiao??...?
