The words froze Jinwoo in his place, it was as if the the words put a spell on him, it shocked him to the core hearing his girlfriend father utter those words
Irene's father walk past Jinwoo without saying another words, while Jinwoo stood there completely still, he doesn't know what to do or how to act right now, he's completely clueless
He stood there for another minute until he felt a hand on his shoulder "oppa, are you okay?" He heard the comforting voice of his girlfriend
Jinwoo look behind him and force a smile at her "yeah, I'm good"
Irene notices something off about him and pressed on "are you sure? Did my dad said something mean to you?" She keeps on asking
Jinwoo keeps on his smile for his girlfriend "no, he didn't" Jinwoo assured his girlfriend
Eventhough Irene wasn't convinced she decides to trust her boyfriend she took his hand and hold it tight "remember, I'll be right beside you, always" Irene assures him
Jinwoo smile at her and hold her hand tightly, Irene lead the both of them back to the living room where her parents and her sister are waiting for them

Irene's sister and mother can't help but to squeal seeing the couple while her father keep up the straight face, Irene notices this because her father is usually not like this and she know that it's because of Jinwoo
'Should i intervene or should i just let it run it course?' Irene ponders looking at how tense her father is towards Jinwoo 'I'll intervene if it gets bad enough, for now I'll let it run it course'
Irene pull on Jinwoo to follow her and sit next to hear across her parents while Jinwoo sheepishly follows his girlfriend
Throughout the conversation Irene can feel that Jinwoo began to relax more and more, but he tensed up everytime he looks at her father, well not everytime as he become more relaxed to her father stare
"So, what's the reason for the sudden visit" Irene's father said to them straight
"Well... we have a bit of time off, me from the promotion and oppa with his schedules and after looking at oppa tight schedules and seeing that he's overworking himself i propose the idea to take the time off to visit our family with he taking me to meet his family and i take him to meet you guys" Irene explained to her father
"Omo~ you're overworking yourself? That's not good" Irene's mother surprised looking at Jinwoo alongside her husband that's still keeping the staright face
Jinwoo awkwardly laughs and scratches the back of his head "w-well... it's actually for a good reason"
Jinwoo look at both of them "since I'm starting my career with a fresh start, i need to work hard to put my name in the industry as a legit singer, not just a one-off thing that i do
Even with the followers that i have from switching careers i know that it's not enough because the music industry still doesn't know my name as a singer but instead as an Ex-Pro Gamer
The reason why i took so many job singing OST for dramas, producing music for companies or certain group or people and doing a collab with other singer is because i needed my name to be known as a real producer/rapper Singer-Songwriter and not as an Ex-Pro Gamer that know how to sing" Jinwoo explained
