Your classes went fine for your first day of school. All the fear and worry you had of you making a fool of yourself vanished out of the window. Your new friends and Vanessa made you feel like family and made you feel safe. You felt like you belonged there, with them even though you knew the four of them for like, literally less than half a day 

Currently it was lunch time and you were sitting at the lunch table with your new pals and Vanessa. "Hey, Y/N, why aren't you eating anything, put that damn book aside and eat something, you've been reading that book since forever'' your friend whined and you looked at her and replied "Vanessa, stop. I'll eat when I want to, you aren't my mom'' and playfully stuck your tongue out at her. "Which book are you reading if you don't mind me asking?" Peter asked you and you glanced at him and replied "The Hunger Games, I really like that series a lot'' you smiled at him and Peter didn't understand why he felt so... warm and good when you smiled at him. And without his knowledge his face turned a bit red when you smiled at him and he nodded as he continued eating his lunch 

"So, how did Vanessa manage to befriend you guys anyways? I mean, she's usually a sour puss'' you smirked at her and she glared at you and replied "Careful now, else this sour puss can get her claws out and make you swallow your words'' and you rolled your eyes at her. "Vanessa met me and Peter at a comic book store you know?'' said Ned and you looked at her in surprise. "Vanessa? You? In a comic book store? That's a rare surprise, you usually hate reading books, pictures or no pictures'' you joked and Ned continued "Yeah, well actually the thing is Peter and Vanessa were on a mission and-'' he blurted out accidentally till Vanessa's eyes widened and MJ glared at him as Peter kicked his shin from under the table and had a look that told him to 'be quiet' 

You looked at him in surprise and you wondered if you heard correctly or else if you were going crazy. "Mission? What sort of mission?" you asked them and Vanessa and Peter looked at each other. They couldn't possibly let you know their biggest secrets, that one of your new friends was Spiderman and your long time best friend was actually working for SHIELD. "Heh, he means that we were on a mission to... to find a...book for you. See, the thing is, I decided to gift it to you when I'd come back to California but you're here so... yeah, but I didn't buy the comic book since well...'' she faltered and looked at Peter for help who understood her dilemma and spoke "It has really graphic and... weird stuff, so we figured you wouldn't like it. Most of the comics there were like that so...'' he drawled off and you looked at them strangely

Before you could say another word, you saw someone with black hair come up towards you guys and he spoke "Well well well, if it isn't the nerd and the nerd queen sitting with her friends'' and he snickered. "Get lost Flash'' MJ rolled her eyes and Betty poked at her food with a bored look on her face and replied "Don't you have any other better things to do than annoy people?" and she looked at him pointedly. But Flash wasn't focused on what Betty was saying, he was focused on you rather and was staring at you in a way that made you feel weird

"Uhh, can I help you?" you finally asked him and he leaned towards you and spoke "Well, what's a cutie like you doing here with these losers? You could always ditch them and come with me, I'll show you a good time princess~'' and he winked at you which made you want to barf your lunch. You looked at Vanessa and if looks could kill he'd already be dead because of the deadly killer looks she was giving him. During that moment, Peter didn't know why he was feeling so angry all of a sudden. He didn't understand why he felt like his stomach was boiling when he saw Flash talking to you like that. But before he could do something and try telling Flash to leave them alone, you decided to take then reins and take charge 

"Well actually they're my friends and I'd appreciate it if you didn't speak about them like that'' you glared at him and he smirked at you and replied "Ohhh, and what are you going to do then? Beg me to leave you and your loser friends alone?" he snickered and you could feel some other people snickering behind him as well. You felt your anger rising up in your body and if there was one thing you couldn't stand for, it was when your loved ones were getting insulted. You tried to keep a calm and neutral expression on your face but your anger got the better of you and you couldn't control your rage since he and his stupid friends were making it really hard to keep your calm composure 

You glanced at him and saw that he had a water bottle on his tray and just then, you formed a brilliant plan in your head as a little light bulb went off. Sure, you could end up getting in trouble for it, and your parents getting mad but you decided it was going to be worth it. Besides, someone had to shut his mouth and now was a good time as ever. You stared hard at his water bottle for a few moments, concentrated and you managed to make the water in the bottle unstable and it was starting to shake. You looked at it even more for a few moments and you made the bottle explode, the water drenching him as he stared at the bottle and at you in surprise, unable to utter a word. When you turned back and picked your bag up, you saw Vanesa and Peter having strange looks on their face, unable to comprehend what just happened as you felt your heart sink, you really should learn to get a better grip of your anger but you comforted yourself thinking 'It's not like I make people's bottles explode in their faces in my free time anyways' ...
