The birth of a villain

School was done for you and you were on your way home, unknowing about the fact that your parents were no longer alive and were dead. You talked with Vanessa along the way and after you reached your house, you bade her goodbye as you went in your house. Your parents told you that they had to go to a lab for some research work and business related things that day and they handed you a spare key for the house in case they returned home from work late 

You opened the door and you went inside your house as you called out to your parents. "Mom, dad are you both in here?" you expected to hear an answer from them but you were just met with nothing more than silence. You didn't think too much about it, since you were used to your parents coming back home even when it was really late in the night so you didn't worry too much. You fixed yourself some noodles and you sat on the couch, reading a book as you had your snack 

Time was slowly ticking by and yet your parents were of no show. You wondered what they could be doing or where they were at. You started feeling bored so you decided to talk with your friend Vanessa to pass the time. You called her up and you both talked about how your day went and how you were feeling bored. Just then Vanessa switched on the TV at her house and she saw the Avengers on the news and she grew nervous, uh oh... whenever the Avengers were featured on the news, nothing good could ever come out of it. Vanessa watched the TV nervously wondering what happened 

The Avengers were standing in front of a building and there were many dead bodies around the place as Captain America told them they didn't have time to do interviews with reporters and as she saw the headlines, Vanessa's eyes widened in surprise. 'Did the Avengers bomb the building based on a false lead?' and she asked you to check the TV's news channel. When you switched on the TV, you were met with a sight of people running around, people yelling and lots of chaos. Apparently as per the headlines the Avengers decided to bomb the place due to some false lead they've got on someone or rather some people trying to steal a data chip from Signix Laboratory 

Signix Laboratory.... you felt a cold sense of dread settle inside you as your heart almost stopped beating and your blood turned ice cold. Signix Laboratory was the place your parents told you they'd be going for the day and you hoped and hoped against hope and prayed that your parents were all right and nothing happened to them. Sadly, the universe wasn't really that kind to you and as always, fate decided to be a complete pain in the neck because you then saw some people wheel your parents on a stretcher and carry them away from the sight and just by you seeing it you felt like you couldn't breathe

Your parents were dead, they were no longer alive. You told Vanessa that you'd call her back and you stared at the screen in front of you with tears glistening in your eyes. You let out all of your anger and sadness outside by yelling, water started to surround you but you didn't care. You were in too much pain from losing your parents couldn't think straight anymore. Those moments you had with your parents with those playful banters and arguments between them and you, cheesy jokes made by your dad, your mom always hugging you and supporting you and telling you how everything will be all right, all those times were nothing but an illusion now 

You didn't feel like getting up from the floor, you'd curled yourself into a ball and sobbed your heart out. You didn't feel like living anymore, the very light of your life, your parents were now dead, the only people who loved you more than life itself. You weren't really in the right mind when you went to the kitchen and grabbed a huge knife as you stared at it with an expressionless face. 'There's no point in living anymore if my parents aren't there, I want to be with them' you thought to yourself and as you were about to stab yourself, the more rational and reasonable part of you told you not to do something so drastic and life threatening 

There was a dark and primal thought forming inside you, to get and take your revenge against those responsible for breaking your family apart and taking your parents away from you. You realized that if you killed yourself now, you wouldn't be able to take your revenge against the Avengers. Just the mere name of them made your blood boil with anger and hatred, how dare they... how dare they, they didn't have any right to snatch your parent's lives away just because of some petty and stupid theft, you set the knife down and stared at the TV with an expression of immense loathing for them 

You called up your aunt and she immediately came over to your house as you explained what happened to your parents. She was sympathetic and she consoled you as you kept crying and crying for hours. Your aunt decided that you needed to drink some water first and as she handed you a glass of water, it was raining and you looked at the TV in your house, the news reporters claiming that the Avengers had caused destruction once again and if they could really be called superheroes. On one side, people were arguing about the amount of destruction they'd caused and on the other, people were singing their praises as you glared at the TV in front of you

"Dear, are you all right?" your aunt asked placing a comforting hand on your shoulder as you nodded and replied in a choked voice. "I'm fine, just watching some TV" and your aunt understood that you wanted to be left alone so she left you to yourself. You missed them. You missed your parents, your kind loving father who'd always encouraged you and called you his 'apple of his eye', who'd always read you bedtime stories. And those playful banters you had with your mother from time to time, your mother's wonderful cooking, the way she'd always hug you and tell you how everything would be all right. Those wonderful moments you spent with your parents were now nothing less than a mirage now

You glared at the TV in front of you and looked at your hand as you tried summoning water from your glass. Water. It was usually a calm substance and provided life to living things. However once it gets angry, it causes destruction and you were ready to cause destruction against those who dared to kill your parents... you were going to do whatever it took to get back at every single one of them, even if cost you your life for breaking your family apart and it was your promise. They were the ones responsible for the birth of a villain.....
