I walked into our old block and nostalgia hit so quickly, this is where Liam gave me that One Chance that I needed and where I learnt to stand on my own Two Feet after losing mum
This is the place I fell in love, made lifelong friends. This is the place I really felt at home with
"Riley!" Mr Anderson called as I walked up to the door of our old group room
"Hey" I smiled
"So, I asked the first years who wanted to be your prodigy should we say" he chuckled
"There were two people who wanted to, so now the ball is in your court. You can choose one of if your up for the challenge. You could try both" He said and I chuckled
"sure I'll give both a shot" I smiled 
How bad could it really be?

"Alright, so you have Piper" He smiled making me smile. I knew Piper would have been one of them
"And Oscar" He said and I shrugged with a smile
I haven't seen Oscar dance since we were 14, it'll be interesting to see what he's up to now a days
"First up you have Oscar in Studio 1 then when the 2 hours with him is up. Piper will come in and switch" He smiled and I nodded before heading into the Studio

Oscar was already sitting in the room when I got there which was a nice change
"Hey" I smiled walking in and putting my bag down
"Trust you to choose teaching Ril" He said, god.. Nobody has called me Ril in years. That was my nickname around the studio
"What can I say, I like helping people achieve" I smiled heading over to him

"So what Oscar, can I help you with" I asked and he chuckled
"I've been giving a duet in our first Showcase and absolutely hate them. I never have the chemistry needed for them. I don't understand the point in them" He explained and I nodded 
"As the male, you are the catalyst Oscar" I said making him look at me like I was a man on mars
"You're there to showcase the females moves, tricks, talent. While also finding the balance to show yours too" I explained and he bowed his head
"But like, how?" He asked and I rolled my eyes
"Stand up" I said as I stood up myself

Oscar chuckled standing up looking at me
"We are going to work on a duet, one that will show you what I mean" I said and he shrugged nodding as we got to work 

"Seee! You've got it!" I cheered as we finished
"I get it but you're easy to dance with" he chuckled throwing me my water bottle
"well we get two weekly sessions, why don't you bring your duet partner and I'll help you both work on it?" I asked and he smiled nodding

"It's crazy that the two hours are already up" He said as we sat on the bench
"I know, just two more hours till everyone else is back too" I smiled counting down the minutes till I get the see the gang again
"So you and James huh?" He asked and I smiled
"Yeah, almost 2 years strong" I smiled
"I'm happy for you Ril, seems like you truly found your place here" He said and I nodded
"I did" I replied 
"What did you do for your gap years anyway?" I asked making him laugh
"Well Hannah and I were meant to be travelling together" He said and I nodded
"Until I showed up at her house the night before to find her in bed with Alec" He said making my raise my brows

"you're shitting me" I said and he shook his head
"butt naked and everything. So i spent the two years travelling on my own and honestly, best decision I ever made. It gave me a great out look on life" He said making me smile
"A great way to go into this year" I smiled and he nodded
"Something tells me things are going to get intense though" he asked and I nodded
"Oh yeah, it will" I said before watching the door open 
"And that is my que" Oscar said grabbing his bag

"See you soon Ril" He smiled and I nodded
"Yeah" I replied before he walked out
