I slammed out the door with Peyton and sped out the driveway, not wanting to risk Matt following us the way he was. I looked over at her and it crushed me, she sat shaking and crying. I reached over and grabbed her hand bringing it to my lips kissing it gently.

"Baby Girl,"

Nothing she didn't respond.

"Baby girl say something."

"Joey....Matt"

"I know, just give him some time to calm down."

I had no idea what to do or where to go. I decided my house would be the safest. If I tell my parents what happened and he shows up the way he is, they aren't going to let them in. If I have to, I'll keep Steelo my Doberman, with Peyton. Steelo loves her and matt is terrified of him. I keep glancing over at her and my heart is breaking seeing her this way. She walked out on her brother for me. She didn't say a word the entire trip to my parents. Only thing I would hear is a small sniffle. I pulled my car around back so it couldn't be seen from the street, and I got her in the house.

"Dad, Mom!"

my parents walked around the corner and stopped dead when they see her.

"Joesph what the hell happened?"

"We were playing video games Matt and me and she was reading. Pey said she wanted snacks. Matt left to go to the store. We must have didn't hear him come back in but he walked in on us kissing, and all hell broke loose."

"Peyton dear are you okay?"

"No...."

She could barely get the words out from crying so hard.

" I wasn't going to leave her alone with him, He banned her from seeing me. I just had to get her out till Matt cools down. He punched the cabinet and broke it. Can she stay here the night?"

"Of course, Joesph."

"Thank you."

"Why don't you take her upstairs and get her something to change into, I'm make her some hot tea to help calm her."

"Thanks mom."

I brought her upstairs to my room; she could barely walk. I sat her down on the bed and just pulled her into my chest and let her cry till she couldn't cry anymore. She looked up at me, her eyes red and puffy from crying and all she said so softly I almost didn't hear her,

"Matty...."

"I know baby, just give him some time he will come around."

I like to say I believed what I had told her, but I don't. I couldn't stomach the shape she is in. I know she is going to have to go back home tomorrow, and I'm almost scared of what is going to happen. Right now, I just got to get her thru the night.

"Come on Pey Pey lets get you more comfortable. I grabbed a tee shirt from my closet and walked back over. She was lost somewhere else as the tears continued to roll down her cheeks. Looks like I'm going to have to do it myself. I grabbed her shirt pulling it over her head and tossed it to the floor. I slid my tee shirt on. She still didn't say a word, didn't even move.

"Ok, let's get you in bed."

I helped her over and reached for the button on her jeans. He looked up at me,

"What are you doing?"

"Getting you undressed and in bed."

"She just nodded."
